Update. 3 years have gone by I happen to be in downtown and I decide to go get my favorite chicken Moroccan date Pizza which is described as having a Harissa sauce instead of standard tomato marinara. I order my pizza and then served a pie that has marinara on it so I decided to go up and ask for a cup of Harissa at which point The Man Behind the Counter pulls out a bottle of sriracha and tries to pour it on to my pizza and I say no not that I want the harissa. At this point he tells me this is what they use for harissa. So after 3 years I really got to say this place is completely gone off the rails if you're going to advertise something please honor the ingredients that you're charging top dollar for
It's hard to give this one star, because this is my favorite pizza in the city. In fact I've had great experiences with this shop until a week ago when I placed an online order. I was minutes from arriving when I'm called and informed the shop is closing early and my order was canceled. No big deal, that's life and things happen. However I was still billed for the food I never received, and when I discovered the charge this morning, I called and asked how I could be helped. They utilized a third party company to receive orders, and when I asked if I could just have the pizza made and show my online receipt, I was told by a relatively considerate man that I needed to call this third party service and have them resubmit the order. You already have my money, and I need to be inconvenienced a second time though? This was all told to the man I spoke to by a rude woman in the background who I could only hear repeatedly saying no to my requests. If this is how you treat someone whose money you took already, I'm not sure I want to come buy pizza here anymore. I have the receipt, and bank statements to prove you have my money, and this woman made it seem like I'm trying to hustle the establishment for twenty bucks? This city has loads of great pizza, so I'm sure every one will find a favorite somewhere. I'd avoid this place. They don't value a good repeat customer at all. Their loss? Or maybe not, they don't seem to care so long as they're making money. You're just a...
Read moreI love this place. I love their buffalo chicken pizza more than I love most humans. I know that their delivery takes longer than usual because, I'm assuming, it takes time to make such awesome food but the last two times I've ordered, it's taken TWO FREAKING HOURS to have food delivered to me (I live 8 minutes from their store). The first time I ordered, I ordered lunch for me and my coworkers- almost 100 dollars worth of deliciousness. They called and told me they were out of gluten free pizza shells (ordered two of them). I asked if they could refund my card $25.00 and the lady told me no and I will get cash from the delivery driver. Um it's 2016 and literally anywhere else you go will honor this so get it together.
I call the store and hangerly complained about how long the delivery is- the lady I spoke with refused to transfer me to a manager because "the manager was busy" and to call back after lunch.
Called back and STILL not transferred to a manager- the employee tells me that they will put 20$ off of my next order.
I ordered a
Read moreI stopped here for lunch due to the number of positive reviews. I cannot comment on the quality of food because I never received it. I walked in and right off the bat I could not see a menu displayed in plain sight. There are paper menus on the sunk in counter, where they take your order, and I saw it as I got close to it. But this was not the issue.
I ordered a kabab. Lorin M took my order at 12:13pm as shown on the receipt. I said it was "for here", paid for my order, left a tip and found a table. After waiting for 15 minutes during which people came, ordered and received their food, I went and I asked politely if my order was close to done. Lorin M responded "just a few more minutes, it takes 15 minutes." I went back and sat down another 20minutes. During this time more people came, ordered, got their food and ate.
So after 35 minutes of waiting for my kabab during my lunch break, I went back to ask what was going on and to speak to a manager. Lorin M came, said she was the manager, and told me that it "takes time to cook meat" and "this is not a fast food place" and immediatlely asked "so what, do you want a refund?" Another gentleman there started to explain that cooking "frozen meat takes time".
While I understand that cooking meat takes time, I do not believe that an establishment that serves pizza, sandwiches and wings needs 35+ minutes to serve a kabab. If that is the case, let your patrons know, people don't have 2 hr lunch breaks. And if they politely ask you what is going on, at least don't be disrespectful and have a tone. I was refunded the money, I had to ask for the tip back and was not offered an apology of any kind.
While I am sure that the food is decent, it is sad to see how a place with this much potential is run. Throw a menu in plain sight, train your staff how to inform and talk to clients and you might raise yourself above some of the other...
