Fantastic tour, such a unique and fun way to explore downtown Pittsburgh!! Geno is an excellent leader and guide, ensuring our safety, navigating the streets and paths, giving us an excellent city tour, and also helping the group capture great photos. I was a little nervous getting on the Segway and with Geno’s guidance and training before we set off, I felt perfectly comfortable. It was great to zip down the streets and park paths, along the river walk, and over the bridges. Pittsburgh is a compact city and this is a great way to experience it.

My family went on a Segway Pittsburgh tour this past weekend and it as FANTASTIC! It was our first time riding a Segway for all six of us. Gino gave clear instructions and focused on each of us individually to make sure we were safe. I personally was very nervous! I felt safe the entire tour as we zipped through Pittsburgh. We had so much fun! Gino provided an informative tour (this group of lifelong Pittsburghers learned a few things),, took great pictures and created a fun morning. I definitely recommend taking a Segway tour of the city.

The ‘instructor’ gave me less than 5 minutes to learn how to ride a Segway. Geno said I was too tense and said I couldn’t go on the tour after his quick teaching. He was also very aggressive when other customers made mistakes. It’s a two star because I got my money back fairly quickly. Attempted this sightseeing tour experience during a weekend trip to Pittsburgh. The website and email say to be there 30 minutes ahead of the scheduled time. Geno didn’t arrive until about 8 minutes before our scheduled appointment.

I went here with a friend from out of town. I am from Pittsburgh but have never done a Segway tour before. The tour guide (JP - the owner) was kind of rude and short upon arrival. Did not seem to have any patience or like he wanted to be there. I was excited for the training portion as I literally have never been on a Segway before. I was nervous but was expecting there to be time for me to get acclimated to the machine. I was the first one to go and the tour guide was there to help... so I thought. He had me stop and go a few times then brought me over to the tiny 'course' to practice. I kept going to the right instead of straight. The entire time I was very nervous because the guy kept saying humiliating comments to me. Which made it worse for me on the machine. He did not make me feel calm or relaxed at all. He should not be a tour guide with his lack of patience and compassion for people. I have never been on a Segway and a machine that was based on your body weight. I just needed some time to acclimate to the machine without someone being demeaning and I would have been fine. I'm sure this is the same with others he turns away. This guy really just needs patience especially with brand newbies. Kindness and patience go a long way! This is also about the experience as a whole. I get safety is a priority but give the training and a brand new person an actual chance with the training. Longer than a minute and without demeaning comments. I also do not like the fact that he gives a credit instead of a return when we would not go back anyways. Overall a terrible experience for me and my friend. This was supposed to be a fun thing. And this guide made it the worst thing. I would not recommend unless the attitude, training, and...

Segway tours are one of my favorite ways to explore a new city! I have done several tours, including New Orleans, Chicago, Boston, Savannah and Raleigh. Although we have visited Pittsburgh many times, my parents and I decided to do a tour to explore the city in a different way. The reason I am only giving 1 star is because the owner/tour guide is incredibly rude, sarcastic and humiliated people when training them. He trained everyone for less than a minute before making them do this silly obstacle course. When he did the “training”, he made it so much more difficult than it needed to be. Every other tour I have done, the tour guide is outgoing and makes the experience FUN, as well as making the training knowledgeable and impactful for each guest. I could tell multiple people on our tour weren’t comfortable at first going out into the city. Our group was about 15 people, which is way too big for one tour guide. We were at the back of the group and he never looked back once to make sure we had enough time to cross the roads before the light turned. I did not feel that safety or creating a fun experience were either of his priorities. Also, he did not know the history of the city very well. He simply read facts off his phone and plaques around the city. Overall, my parents and I had fun seeing the city and making our own fun with the tour. But Pittsburgh Segway does not compare to any other Segway tour I have done before. If you want to explore the city, doing a Segway tour is fun. However, with this specific one, anticipate the tour guide having a...

I had family visiting from Texas, so we took the 5:30 pm tour. The sights were beautiful, the tour was entertaining, but I have a few concerns regarding the operation. We had 6 in our party, and another party of 6 was almost a no show, but came late. I don't know how the staffing works, but it was just our tour guide (Geno) setting us up, giving instruction & then stopping us to register the other group's paperwork, and get them trained & situated. Then it happened again... 2 more signups came after that & he stopped (yet again) to get them situated. By the time our large group was ready to roll, we had 14 people (12 of which had never been on a Segway before) and ONE guide. Although Geno was good and knowledgeable, (Kudos, BTW) in my opinion, another staff person was necessary: especially from a safety perspective. One staff to take care of the helmets and paperwork while the other staff worked with the students in training. Then they BOTH go on the tour- One staff in the lead, and the other in the rear.

It's an accident waiting to happen...Someone could have gotten seriously hurt or hit by a car at the lights...and during the 6 mile tour, several in the group had minor mishaps operating their Segways...

The traffic light changes were tricky for everyone to cross before the green light. There were several kids in the group that could have used an experienced hand and an extra set of eyes to keep them safely on track and out of harms way. I sincerely hope you all make the changes needed for...
