I wanted to share my experience with everyone that I had this evening in Store #1799. I had an online print order, which I get regularly, for both of my businesses. I was called at 12:22 PM and asked if I needed the order today. I said yes, and the gentleman on the phone stated that it would be done by the deadline at 8:30 PM. I needed the materials for a customer in the morning and a class that was scheduled.
I drove from Wheeling, WV for an hour and a half and arrived at the store at 8:25 PM and spoke to the young lady working and she said that they were backed up and did not get a chance to finish the order. She stated that she was half way done but could get them done by 9:00 PM when they close. This was not a problem. Alex Campiella overheard the conversation and asked me my last name when the other young woman went back toward the materials that I could see sitting on the counter. I provided my name and she stated that they wouldn't be done tonight. I advised her that someone called and said they would be done and that I needed them for a job at 8:00 AM. She told me that I "shouldn't have procrastinated" and I said "excuse me". She then began to raise her voice and tell me how I should have ordered and had it sent out for printing and the website is wrong and she was calling IT to have it changed. I tried to explain to her that I order all of my materials for my jobs in this manner and she started yelling at me to "get out" and that I am no longer permitted to do business at Staples. I offered to accept the materials as they were because I could see they were printed and stacked but not bound. She said "your order is cancelled" and yelled "get out". I asked her for her name and she refused to give it to me. I asked her to speak to the manager, and she said that she is the manager. I asked her for a business card and she called the police on me. It was very embarrassing as there were other customers in the print area who ended up apologizing for the way I was being treated even though they did not work there. I asked her if she wanted me to wait for the police and she yelled "get out". I went outside and waited 30 minutes for the police but they did not show up.
I was unable to do the job in the morning and lost $3600 along with damage to my reputation for having to cancel the class because Alex does not know how to handle herself. She stated over and over numerous times about employees calling off sick and how much work she had to do. This is not something she should be sharing with customers.
I can find a new print shop for my businesses, but I wanted everyone to be aware of my experience and how Alex treats regular customers. I have print orders for my businesses dating back to 2018 and have spent a lot of money on...
Read moreThis ups store ID not a real ups store you try to mail something to a customer using a prepaid qr code and they can't do that there. Then the incompetent clerk female did not properly try to help me she gives me a card on how to print a label which is absolutely insane considering they won't scan a qr code but they will let u print a label and mail. She told me it would be 35cents and I didn't bring my waller considering I have a qr code well its not 35cents it requires a card to scan for 5$ for them to just put on hold. She was willing to give me a card for a 1$ but not 5$ which is unbelievable they weren't even going to charge it just needed the card to print one lil label. It was like she was enjoying this. This store is a non ups store so they should not have ups store on their name. Why say ups when you can't even mail with a ups qr code. Go to the one in Oakland. Not staples eastliberty they are non helpful and completely insensitive to my situation I run a business and have time for a joke of a ups store. Whomever is in charge needs to figure it out cause it's not working. Other places like usps are sending customers like me to staples cause they have no idea they are fakes they scan qr codes all day but for different companies except ups. I will continue to write bad reviews cause business owners like me can't afford to sit thru traffic and go to a ups store they can use a qr code at. She could have easily taking a prepaid card and put 5$ so I could print my label for 35cents. My bad for forgetting my wallet but this was on them to provide customer satisfaction. They give u a card with instructions dont explain it and walk away. Should be ashamed of themselves. Penn avenue target ups store at 5pm March 11th 2025. I wouldn't even give them a 1star. I'm not dissing staples themselves just the ups...
Read moreI experienced a bit of a debacle with ordering a rug which then had to be returned. Long story short I was supposed to return via Fedex using the label provided. However, the rug did not have any return packaging. Fedex upon seeing my predicament was not particularly helpful and directed me elsewhere and suggested I could mail via UPS and that I needed to wrap the rug. I went to Staples on Penn Avenue as it's my go to for all UPS mail and quick office supplies. It was now 8pm and I was very tired. The staples staff explained that my 'smart label' could not be utilized with UPS. I was so upset after dragging this rug around. A nice young employee, named Nico, was so proactive and really went out of his way to find something that I could use as wrapping. He was so gracious and took the time to help wrap a giant roll of plastic around a rug and tape it down. He helped me carry the rug back to my car which I will again take back to Fed Ex. I was thinking in a world of COVID, people are generally more guarded which is understandable. However, it was so nice to have this nice young man, come up with a creative solution, help me execute it and frankly cheer me up after a very long day. I just hope the Staples managers recognize how awesome Nico is and encourage his excellent interpersonal skills. It's this kind of customer service and support that will have me coming...
