TLDR: Lots of options, good music, place is clean, unfortunately the food just sucks Came here with my fiance. We were unsure if it would be with the $16.75 price for the adult buffet, which is not advertised online, only the child buffet price is advertised online. The receipt also does not show individual items, so I don't know how I ended up paying over $35 for two items that are less than $17 each. Maybe there was a card fee? The receipt doesn't show what the extra charge was for, it only shows the total. They do have a large buffet with lots of options, and that was the main reason I thought this place would be worth the money. However, once I was up at the buffet actually loading my plate, I realized that there wasn't really much that appealed to me. Items were very inconsistent, some were dry, some were overcooked, others just plain sucked or lacked flavor. The wonton soup lacks flavor and has almost no meat in it. My fiance got muscles and they were very overcooked to the point that they were hard. She also had a laugh at the bananas in the syrup... They were so dry that one of her banana pieces split in half when she tried to get a fork into it. The ice cream is prepackaged, which stopped me from grabbing a large soup bowl and filling it with ice cream. They do have good speakers and the music is pretty good, but the food sucks and the receipt hides a fee and doesn't tell me what the fee was for.

Solid American-style Chinese food, good quantity for the price and pretty fast, too. Chicken was packed into the tray and I was happy to find some meaty broccoli crowns, too, stems and all. The sauces could use a little tweaking. Didn't get a lot of citrus flavor from the orange chicken unless I spooned out a big glob of sauce or a piece of peel; otherwise, it didn't taste that different from my partner's sesame chicken.

Cash only. Food's pretty good, decent price. The atmosphere isn't very good though.

I hate that they use the very cheapest plastic forks; you know the kind that can barley support the weight of the food. A heavy duty fork costs an extra $0.001 per fork...

It's also kind of weird that there are like two Chinese restaurant right next to each other "China Garden" and "China Buffet". I sort of assume they have the same owner and probably the same cooks. But that's just an assumption. Not that there is anything wrong with that, it's just a little weird.

And just to be clear, this review is about "China Garden". I looked at some of the other reviews, and I think some people left reviews for "China Buffet" under "China Garden". Hence showing the confusion.

I'll come...

You have officially lost a customer for life I will never eat at your establishment again your portion sizes are atrocious what are you feeding Ethiopians. The the food had absolutely no flavor I've tasted cardboard boxes with more substance. Although there was a prevalent burnt taste as if scorched Earth was a flavor. The cheese wontons had such a small dollop of cheese that in all honesty if you bit too hard and too much you won't taste anything.. my spring rolls with shrimp were burnt how exactly they managed to burn my egg rolls is beyond me. If I could give them negative Stars I would screw this place...
