Reading this other review, it upsets me. I took my watches in to buy batteries & have them installed. I was told that they don't do that. I had also brought in a white gold & diamond, vintage watch that my dad had made for my mom decade's ago, to have a new crystal on & clean it up. They wanted so much money, I couldn't believe it. There are a lot of people who move up here who act like this is Silicon Valley, or something. Where everyone has lots of money & like to spend it. This isnt a bedroom community of Sacramento. We are our own semi- small town, and I cant speak for everyone, but I don't need Sacramento. Its been year's since I've been there. But I really don't like our businesses acting like they're a big city business! I'll find somewhere to go, because I have a lot of watches! But I won't go to Roman's. They obviously lied to me. Also, its not like they were $2 watches. They were Seiko's, but they don't 'sell watch batteries & install...

They botched my necklace. Some links had separated, brought it in to reattach. Told me necklace was too old (which it is +- 40 years) and that it would happen again unless they reinforce all the links for $960. A new one same weight, length and carats would cost over $2,000. Since it was a gift from my late husband, I agreed. Gave them the necklace and the detached piece. Needless to say they lost the extra somewhere between Placerville and Folsom, told me they didn't get it and out courtesy they would elongated it for free, since without that piece it had become too short to wear. After shopping around at several other jewelry stores - small ones as well as the larger ones - I found myself easily and happily giving my business to Randolph Jewelers. They were friendly, eager to help me with what I was looking for and easy to work with. All the other stores were either ridiculously expensive, did not have what I wanted or gave me the hard sale (which I hate). I wanted a Mother's ring and RJ had a variety of settings and quality stones to choose from. The gentleman I worked with took his time with me and helped me pick out the perfect stones for the setting I selected. I got the exact ring I wanted for a reasonable price and it was made for me within a week. This was about 5 years ago and I have worn this ring...
