Kool Kone Ice Cream — Attraction in Plainfield Charter Township

We really love this place- and my kids want to come all time. However we only come probably twice a summer. On a hot day it is usually busy and we don’t always come because we know we could be waiting 15-40 min just to order and another 10-15 for everyone in our family to get their ice cream. Maybe an on call schedule for the hotter months would bring us (and others) by more. The whole place would also benefit from more shade. A tree planted next to where people wait would block that dinner rush sun. And some over the picnic tables and during the day would help keep those tables cool. Speaking as a stay at home mom. A place behind there to play would keep me coming by with friends on play...

Yum!! My 4.5 yr old granddaughter and I went for a cone today. We both had chcoalte dipped twist cones - one junior and one small. First problem... they were TOO big!! I expected the junior to be half the size it was! Second problem... it was too hot out and the ice cream melted too fast(yes that is sarcasm!) We had a lot of fun trying to keep up with the melting, and eventually we won. Thankfully there was a hose available to rinse out ice cream covered hands with. The young lady working was helpful, kind and attentive. They have fabulous Moooooville icecream too if you prefer a scooped cone. Memories were made...

Way overpriced and terrible customer service. We wanted a baby twist for our 2 year old with a tiny bit of chocolate syrup on top. They told us they would have to charge us for a full sundae! While we were in line, a woman who appeared to be a manager was yelling at another employee and telling her everything she was doing wrong. It's unfortunate that this place is so close to home and we have no desire to go back. Drive to GR, Rockford or Belmont for better ice cream...
