I hate to have to flame a small business like this... but.. yikes. I took my phone here to get the screen fixed, it got fixed, and I was happy with my experience. But 20 days later, I dropped my phone from a small distance and the corner shattered. I called them to see if there was any sort of warranty, partial/full refund, etc since I had just paid $362 for it to shatter within 30 days; but they did not offer any help/accommodation. They said no other nearby business would offer any protection like that (not true). A business that won't offer help to a customer who didn't get to use their (expensive) product for even 30 days reeks of poor service; as that's a pretty standard policy. They claimed they made this policy clear, they really didn't; and they didn't exactly help themselves by offering any short term insurance or screen protector for an additional cost. The fact that the screen broke so easily makes me question where they buy them; as well as the quality of installation. Take your business elsewhere where you'll get better service for...
Read moreI stopped into Repair Node last week to see if I could get a new battery put in my 10 year old Motorola Droid Turbo and to my surprise, Dustin said he could get a new battery. I was very happy to think I could keep my trusty Droid alive. Dustin had the new battery within a day and I dropped my phone off for surgery. When I stopped back to pick up my phone, Dustin had also found in testing all the functions, that my speaker was not working correctly. I had noticed some issues with what I thought was loss of signal but thanks to Dustin's careful testing, he found the actual problem. He quickly ordered the replacement part and I dropped off the phone once again and now the speaker is working properly and sounds much clearer. Read more5 months for no results. I left a laptop with them on August 1 for data recovery and hopefully repair. Board was too corroded for repair, understandable. Lost my bitlocker key, my fault, the easy data recovery option was not possible. We made a plan for a long shot possible way to recover the data by getting the computer to turn on temporarily and removing it that way. This plan was made in late August. I emailed them every 2 weeks for an update and got a reply only twice in 5 months. Both times the answer was "no but I'll look at it today". Long story short, today will never come.
Tldr, paid $100 for them to sit on their hands from August 1 to December 27. The worst part is I understood it was a long shot, but i was paying them not for results, but for the action of Trying. Which they never delivered. Go literally anywhere else, your 12 year old nephew could...
