FUNBOX FT LAUDERDALE — Attraction in Plantation

We visited on a Sunday with my 2 kids (9 and 1) and will never go back.

The first red flag is we while we waited in line to enter the previous group was still inside jumping. As soon as it was our time to jump they made people exit and they just let people rush in which clearly tells me they did no cleaning or sanitizing. The chairs and tables were all a mess and still filled with food and drinks left from the previous time slot. Even worse there were still people inside from before which did not help as it was already super overcrowded. Just so unorganized and chaotic.

Important if you have small children (babies or toddlers) If you have small kids, I definitely do not recommend bringing them. There is no safe baby or toddler area anywhere. My husband and I kept getting bumped into as we tried to keep our one year old safe. Kids of all ages were just running around, chasing eachother and diving all over the place with no one to stop them. I saw a few employees when we first entered and then never again. If they were in there they were not noticeable because kids were being wild and not being told anything.

My oldest (9years old) was assaulted by two boys about his age. One boy shoved my son to the ground because my son accidentally bumped into him. (Again, everyone is getting bumped into and no one is there to control the chaos). One boy was twisting my sons leg and the other jumping on him. Thankfully he cried out for my husband who was close by and he ran over to stop them. The boys took off running and my husband after them. We then found the boys mother and funbox staff who said the boys were supposedly kicked out and not allowed back (which is a lie because I saw the boys and the mother just hanging out later on so we just left). We were given free passes to return along with free snow cone passes which we won’t even be using. Overall this is just so unsafe, unsanitary and just not worth going back. I will wait for big bounce which has designated time slots each age group, actual employees monitoring the bounce houses for safety and down times between each session to properly sanitize and empty the bounce houses. SCAM!! I purchased two tixs via their website for a 4:30 session on Sunday March 17th. The Ft.Lauderdale location was no where in sight! The address shown on my tixs led me to a shopping mall. I drove around searching for any sight of this place for 30mins with no luck at all. I went inside the mall to ask mall staff had they seen or heard of this place & each person said no.

Having been to the Berkeley, CA location previously, I was super excited about experiencing this again while here in FL. There is no contact number listed anywhere on their website & they do not reply to emails. I am very upset that my money was wasted. This location is a COMPLETE SCAM!!!!

IN RESPONSE TO THE BUSINESS:

Yes, I did try to contact but there is NO PHONE number listed anywhere on the site or Google. When I emailed yesterday, no one replied! In California these locations are OUTSIDE so when the GPS led me to the Broward Mall I was confused but still walked around aimlessly searching to no avail. I asked the mall security and the information desk at the mall did they know where the location was and each told me no. Also, I have yet to receive a response to my email, however, the business has time to comment snarky responses- smh! 0/10 Do Not Recommend! This location complete joke! The way it’s promoted is nothing compared to what is in person and what a terrible experience it has been. We were not even able to jump on it as when we arrived it was deflated and under repair. We didn’t receive any previos notification about the damage until we arrived with the entire family. There was no information of what was going on, the place was all close down, it looked dirty and not well maintained and with improvised sprayed painted parking or guiding signs outside. We had to yell for a staff from the inside fence to come and assist us. He simply handed a business card to call for a refund. He also took our emails that we sent to a Whatapp number with no reply back I called the number that was on the card and a Mike answered. He promised to provide a refund on January 2 and it has been almost 3 weeks and so far no refund and no answer back from him as well. I have tried emails too and no reply. Not only we were not able to experience the inflatable but also we haven’t receive our money back. Terrible...
