Joel at the front desk checked me in and was very professional. When I realized that they placed me in a room in front of the elevator, I requested a room change and Joel was very accommodating and changed my room and even made sure the room was feather-free as I requested. As I waited for the feather bedding in my room to be switched out, Joel was kind enough to make me a specialty coffee even though their coffee bar was already closed for the day. Super nice of him!||The double queen room was spacious and clean, with no stains on the chairs or carpet. The room included a small fridge, which was very convenient. However, the coffee machine was somewhat faulty, I had to keep my finger pressed down on the brew button for it to work. Since the hot water was extremely hot and splattered slightly, I had to place a towel over my hand for protection.||The elevator on my side of the hotel was fairly slow so if you’ve checked in and fit to walk up and down at least three flights (there’s only 3 floors), walking may be the faster option.||I was informed that the hotel does not provide luggage racks, so I had nowhere to place my suitcase. Fortunately, my room had an extra rolling desk, which I used as a makeshift luggage rack by placing a towel on top to prevent scratches. This setup worked well, as the desk was spacious and still left plenty of room to move around.||It was disappointing that their coffee bar area is closed right after they serve breakfast, so if you are looking for Starbucks coffee after 10am, you’ll have to go to an actual Starbucks or use the complimentary in-room coffee maker (which is not Starbucks coffee). I’m told that their coffee bar closes at 9:30am on weekdays and 10am on weekends.||This hotel is in an excellent location adjacent to the vibrant Fountains shopping and dining center. Guests can enjoy a variety of dining options, including popular chains like Chili’s, Olive Garden, and Red Lobster, along with well-known stores such as Marshalls/Home Goods, Kohl’s, and Total Wine. Additionally, within a short 5-10 minute walk, guests can visit Barnes and Noble and Broward Mall, while Target is conveniently located within a 15-minute walk. The hotel's proximity to these amenities allows guests to easily access dining and shopping without needing to drive, making it a convenient choice.||Overall, this was a quiet and pleasant stay with clean accommodations, friendly service, and met all our expectations for a reliable and well-maintained mid-tier Marriott property. We definitely appreciated the convenient location, well-kept amenities, and smooth check-in process. We would definitely return and recommend it to others looking for a dependable and comfortable...

We don't normally encounter an experience this bad to prompt a review. All I can say is, read the other reviews. This hotel has a bug infestation.
We arrived at the hotel at 3:30pm. We were given a room that was not the bed we booked. Since checkin was at 4, we wheeled our bags back out to the lobby and waited. We were given the keys room we booked at 4:30.
We were tired from travel, so rested right away. By the 2-3rd hour we noticed some small red ants crawling around the sink. There also was one or two on the bed. We wanted to give the hotel the benefit of the doubt, dealt with them. Over the next 2 hours, we saw about a dozen more mostly around the sink, we got rid of them, hoping that was it. by 9pm, there were dozens on a napkin that we had a coffee cup on on the desk. There were also more crawling on the bedside table.
While dealing with the ants we saw the other reviews, and only wished we saw them before we booked. We really wanted to give the hotel the benefit of the doubt, as we also had a sleeping toddler we would have to wake up and find another hotel for.
At this time we've decided to pack up and leave, as we didn't wan to carry them back home in our bags.
During checkout at the front desk, Bryan's reaction appeared like it wasn't surprising. He did promise a full refund.
However, when I reached to my booking agent, who reached out to the hotel 2 days after, the hotel denied the refund, citing we stayed more than 6 hours in the room (a further untruthful exaggeragtion - we actually stayed less than 5 half which spending effort trying remedy the hotel's problem and giving them the benefit of the doubt, but it hardly matters here)
By that token, I guess if we checked in at 8pm, and had to leave the hotel because of a flood or fire at 2am, we would be charged the full night. Maybe there's a reason we refer to hotel stays as number of "nights".
We did not stay overnight, we left at 9:30pm because the hotel has a bug infestation, and they refused a refund. It baffles me that they would rather lose customers this way than to deal with the actual problem. Refund or not, I truly hope nobody else goes through this.
If you found this hotel had a lower price, this is the reason. I just wish it wasn't the Courtyard Marriott hotel chain that...
Read moreI have spent exactly 99 nights in Marriott Hotels across Florida and South Carolina this year according to my Bonvoy account, and this hotel is the first one I have had an issue with.
I checked in about 1 pm to get some rest before going in at 9 pm for a night audit at a construction project I am managing. At about 3 pm the door to my room swings open, without a knock or announcement. When I respond with "Excuse me?" from the bed, I hear a female voice say, "Oh! Don't you want service?" I had just checked in? Was the room given to me me dirty? It makes no sense, and the lady leaves without explanation.
At about 7 pm, I am up and out of the shower, not fully dressed, when I hear a single tap, followed quickly by a key in the door, and without an announcement. Then as the door swings wide open again, a man's voice saying "Hey man!" This time it was maintenance, and based on a later conversation with him he thought his buddy was in there. It's worth noting I was only able to speak to him later because when I left, he was sitting in an empty room down the hall with his feet on the table/desk, where someone might be eating or working later, searching his phone.
I could have gotten over all of this having a simple conversation with the manager. So, as I moved to check out I asked for the manager, Nicole, who was literally 20 feet away, just out of site, in a room with the door open. The front desk agent said she was setting up her day for the other employees and didn't have time to speak with me. When I confirmed she was "right there" (pointing at the door), and could not poke her head for two minutes I was told, "Yes. She is on a call." Except, I had stood there for several minutes waiting on the desk clerk, then another waiting on the clerk to get the manager and there was no call. See the photo with this review. See that door in the background on the right? Yep. That's where the super busy Nicole was.
Super disappointing. I will not stay here again, and if I could drop the review to a complete zero I would.
Long hairs on the bathroom floor too. I always try to believe it tracks in from the carpeted hall on my shoes, but maybe not. Nothing else is going right...
