Bargain Hunting Day at Marshalls - Episode 3: The Final Episode!

This was our last stop at Marshalls for the day, and honestly, I was relieved it had finally arrived. If you've read my other two Marshalls reviews on this day, you know that my enthusiasm for bargain hunting had reached its limits.

That said, even in my bargain-fatigued state, I could see why my significant other was excited about this location. According to her, the Pleasant Hill store had the best selection of the day, and judging by the crowd, many others felt the same way. It was definitely the busiest of the three stores we visited, which meant things were a bit disorganized (thanks to customers leaving items everywhere), but the quality of the merchandise was impressive.

I noticed a lot of well-known brand names on everything from shoes to clothing to home goods. This store seems like a great place to find quality items without paying full price.

While she happily explored the aisles, I waited near the entrance and chatted with a couple of staff members. Although they were clearly busy, they took the time to answer questions and assist customers with genuine smiles. It was actually fun to watch their interactions.

I went in here not looking for anything specific. I come here once in a while just to window shop. I did find a couple items I thought about purchasing, but with inflation the price for Crocs were almost the same as buying retail from the Crocs website. I would still shop here, but items I would purchase are probably kitchen items and maybe some clothing in the clearance section. I did look at hats and the ones I liked were on clearance, but it made it the same price as ordering on Amazon. If I need a hat that bad I'll come back for it or go on Amazon. 4/23/23 I came here to return an item. It was painless and afterwards I went to browse the store. They had crocs, but the prices are similar to Amazon. I was then looking for any other item that I couldn’t live without and I didn’t find anything. I did check out the shoes, but nothing caught my eye that I thought I would try. I also looked around the purse area and was thinking of getting a backpack purse and there wasn’t any that was the price I was looking for. Overall the store does have some clearance areas, but you need to look for them as there’s so sign that says this isle...

I had a horrible experience last week... let me explain. I went in search of a shower curtain, mats, shower rod..basically I wanted to update my bathroom and I thought Marshall's would work since they have good prices and lots of inventory to choose from.. As I approached that department...you could hear on the overhead speaker something about that particular department and thank you for shopping...blah blah blah.. I didn't pay much mind until I immediately seen 2 Marshall's employees circling that dept. Never once asked if I needed help but just kept watching me 🤦🏻‍♀️ I don't know if this store has high theft or what not.. but they made for a very uncomfortable experience. Not everyone is there to steal! There was an older lady with her daughter in the same dept and she asked her daughter..."What are they doing?" Her daughter answered, "They must think we're stealing!"
