Sadly I have to update my review and drop it down from 4 stars to 2. I have it at 2 and not 1 because the staff were great as always. I have been going to Stella’s for a few years now and have always Enjoyed the menu. Last night was the first time I was disappointed. I ordered the shrimp and coleslaw plate for $16.00. Out came 5 small shrimp and a little bowel of coleslaw. Because I did not get the fries I was offered double coleslaw portions and this is what I got. Not even a full cup of coleslaw and you see the shrimp. I thought I was at the airport for a minute ordering dinner. Thank goodness we ordered tater tots for $11.00 but to add insult to injury they no longer carry wasabi dipping sauce. Soft Drinks Drinks are $3.00 plus at most places now for a glass. I know prices for food have gone through the roof and I have some pity for restaurants. Our total bill for 3 people eating nothing fancy was $67.00. Without the appetizer we would have left still somewhat hungry. The food portions have shrunk fast in the last 5 months or prices have gone up like a skyrocket. I’m sorry to say I’m going to have to forgo dinning out and hope things settle back down. Best of luck to your establishment and all restaurants.

I came here on 2/10/24 with a group of friends for dinner and a comedy show. We arrived at 6pm to eat before the show began at 7:30pm. Many of us did not receive our food until right before or after the show had already began... My mom ordered a personal "pizza" which she said tased like a tortilla shell with sauce and cheese (and looked disgusting). Then, later that night, we realize the cup that I was served my drink in, was BEYOND dirty!! I wanted to throw up when I saw what I had been drinking from all night... Both of my pop and my mom's tasted watered down. Another lady's $15 shrimp and fries basket had 6 small shrimp and maybe a handful of fries ? It was disappointing to say the least. Oh, and they only had, might as well say 1.5 waitresses, serving our group of like 30.? The one stood at the front of the room most of the night looking scared and unsure of what to do. Most of the comics we saw that night were great, but we would never make the 45-minute drive back out for this place.. very disappointing first experience. (Btw.. large parties get charged 22% for gratituity)

Went for lunch. First time there. Got the chicken strips and potato skins. The strips were fantastic and I recommend them! The potato skins were pretty good as well. Service was very attentive. Will go back eventually for some of the other menu items. Update 1/29/2025 Another lunch visit. Got the chicken strips and fries. Both were good, as usual. The cole slaw was a little vinegary but overall very good. The new waitress, Kelly P., is fantastic. Very attentive and FAST. The place was busy, but she was able to handle it. And she's been on the job for about 2 weeks. Stella's is lucky to have someone of this caliber working for them.

Daughter surprised me and took me to the Mothers Day Brunch. Our seating time was 2:15, we were out of there by 2:45. The buffet line at that time was an absolute mess. Quiche that was just sitting on a platter, stacked on top of each other, not being kept warm. The hashbrowns were the store bought frozen hash browns that had been fried entirely too long and were grease soaked. Every serving dish was dirty and with several the sterno had run out so the food was cold. The utensils had food caked on them, probably never changed throughout the day. The prime rib was very fatty and extremely tough. The chocolate fountain was miniature and had just a few strawberries to dip. The table where the chocolate fountain was was filthy and the juice carafes were filthy as well. Also on this table there were cookies, mini cinnamon rolls and mini apple strudel. All store bought at Kroger, I'm guessing. I swear the cheesy potatoes were boxed Betty Crocker scalloped potatoes with cheese and the cheesecake was the cheesecake sampler that can be bought at any grocery store, still on the same plate it was bought on just the cover removed and sitting on the table not being kept cold. Our server was non existent and when she did show up her white shirt was covered with stains everywhere!! I expressed our disappointment and was told that it's better to not come to a brunch and that the buffet table was better first thing in the morning. It was very obvious that nothing was homemade or even attempted to appear homemade. More obvious was how dirty everything was. My daughter pre paid $84 for our meals, which we didn't eat. Our 2 drinks were 6 bucks which we paid and also left a tip but we will never be back. Total waste of...

//FINAL UPDATE FOR A LONG LONG TIME 1/20/24//This is it for Stella's the service was absolutely horrible and the food was cold when it came out. The hostess was lost when it came to seating and the waitress messed up on the orders and only half of the meals got put in. The kids menu comes with no sides, even though last visit they did. The business model is not working and the quality of staff and service is lacking. It is sad... it has been on a slow downward spiral for two years and it seems that it will only continue. If it doesn't change it will share the same fate as Greek islands , honey hole and all the other restaurants that lacked service and any type of quality. Hope this place turns around but for now I'll visit Herman's in olde town instead. //Update 12/12/2023// service needs help! got the black and bleu steak ceaser salad the and the steak was nothing but fat, I will say though the dressing was good. The hostess seemed lost on where to sit anybody and it wasn't even busy for a Saturday night. The waitress was really nice though and took care of us. The quality of the meals orderered wasn't very good. As far as being a self advertised local hiden spot, I would say stick to the penn grill or hermans in Old Towne. If yah want a beer only this place works... Ordered BLT...bacon was hard as a shingle and was served with no mayo...will try...
