Absolutely amazing experience all around. Very clean studio and wonderful staff. Answered and returned calls promptly and were always polite and helpful.

I had the absolute pleasure of being tattooed by Aura Dalian. It's my first large tattoo and first that wasn't just picked from a book. My concept was thigh placement of an owl in the colors of a Supernova and a fox in the colors of Jupiter representing my kids. Aura knocked it out of the park. She showed me the design she had come up with, and it was better than I had imagined. Perfection. We had set aside one full day plus another 3 hours the next month. However, Aura was able to complete the work start to finish in 7 hours. We chatted the entire appointment, and time just flew by.

Note: I spent a few years following Aura's work online and finally took the leap of submitting my concept to get on her books, and I was fortunate enough to have Aura select it on my second attempt. When I called to schedule the appointment, she was booking about 8 months out. So, if you are looking for a quick turn appointment, the process likely isn't for you. I had my very first tattoo done by the incredibly talented Aura Dalian here at North Main, and my only regrets is I wish I had done it sooner.

She does absolutely beautiful work. In fact, everyone here has beautiful work. Every single artist here is truly that, an artist! They regularly have their own personal art hanging on the walls of the building. Every few months, they also have gallery events for new art shows they're hosting!

The interior is super clean. The girl running the desk is very nice and efficient, and setting appointments is easy-peasy. They're very welcoming, especially to someone who had never walked into a tattoo shop before and wasn't just getting a tiny black and white piece. I started my sleeves in L.A. and moved back to the Detroit area before they were finished. Aaron Ruby was able to continue my sleeves and improve the work I had already started. The work he did is WAY better than anything I had done in Los Angeles or Ann Arbor. Aaron was patient and listened while I showed him all my inspiration pics. He was great at communicating what would look good and working with me to assure I got the tattoo I wanted. The shop is the cleanest, most elegant shop I've ever been in and the receptionist were polite and knowledgeable. My entire experience was excellent. I'll never go anywhere else!
