Review of Bella Vi Salon - Disappointing Experience I recently moved from Houston and decided to try Bella Vi based on recommendations and decent reviews. Unfortunately, my experience with Hannah was far from what I expected and honestly, one of the worst Iāve had at a salon.
Location: The location is convenient, and thereās plenty of parking, which made the visit easy.
Cost: Pricing was comparable to other salons in the area, and I didnāt mind paying the standard rates for what I expected to be a professional service.
My Experience: I went in for a color treatment, and I was very clear about what I wanted. I showed Hannah pictures of the color I had in mind, but the result was far from what I envisioned. After hours of bleaching and toning, some parts of my hair were just bleached, while other sections were toned. To make matters worse, the color was unevenāone side of my hair was lighter than the other, and there was no consistent tone throughout. In the end, I walked out with a bizarre mix of black roots, bleached strands, and random sections that were toned.
What was even worse was when I washed my hair at home. It felt like strawādry, frizzy, and totally damaged. I immediately called the salon, and Hannah suggested I come back on Tuesday to have it fixed. But honestly, as a stylist, you should know better. Conditioner after bleaching is a basic, standard practice. How can you let someone leave the salon with hair in that condition?
A few issues with this:
I should not have been charged for a service that left my hair in this condition. I didnāt get anywhere near the result I wanted, and my hair was damaged, frizzy, and uneven.
Trust: How could I trust Hannah with my hair again? If she wasnāt able to achieve what I wanted, why not be honest upfront and say that the look was beyond her skill set?
I ended up going to another salon to fix the mess. They couldnāt believe the state of my hair and were shocked that I had gone to another salon before. They thought I had experimented with it myself at home.
Overall: The location and pricing were fine, but the service I received was disappointing and left my hair in bad shape. I walked out feeling frustrated and unsatisfied. I canāt recommend this place, especially after such a poor experience. If youāre looking for a place who knows what theyāre doing and can give you the results you ask for while keeping your hair healthy, Iād suggest looking elsewhere. Ā Ā Ā Read moregot a horrible perm experience here. I asked for a very very light wave perm. The girl told me my hair would be just a ālittle bitā curlier than what i was wanting which was fine. It turned out to be the complete opposite of what i wanted and not only was it not ājust a little bit wavy/curlyā my hair is literally curly and fried. She was super rough with my hair i had a small super red spot in the front of my hairline where she took out the rollers and a few hairs were taken from my hairline so now there is a mini spot there with no hair. My hair at my ends feel fried and the left side of what used to be my side bang is completely different and way more fried and curlier than the other side there were a few strands of my hair she didnāt even get which thank god there are at least a few pieces left. Iāve gotten a perm before so i know what itās supposed to feel and be like and this definitely was not it. If you have thicker hair and are looking for a wavy pattern definitely do not come here. my worst hair experience ever iāve been crying all day. terrible. i really really wish i could get my money back. $90 gone . So as a courtesy, I called to let the girls know I'm there and ask where else I can park to only have the girl tell me my appointment has been canceled because the stylist is not in tonight. I asked if there was anyone else who can color my hair as today is the only evening I can come in. She said no but can get me an appointment next week. The receptionist claimed that the morning employee called multiple times but my phone kept going to voicemail. She then said the employee also texted me from her personal phone and asked if I received the text. I did not receive any calls or texts. I had full bars all day, my phone was on me and on loud. The girl and I confirmed over the phone they indeed have the correct number. Additionally, I received their initial appointment confirmation text. If someone really did call in the morning, I do not understand why they wouldn't do me the courtesy in leaving a voicemessage informing me of the cancellation or try again in the evening instead of waiting for me to drive +15 minutes for my appointment.
