The Popcorn Shop — Attraction in Pocatello

This is a cozy hole-in-the-wall shop. I was pleasantly surprised how many customers it attracts. The parking lot is a tiny one-way area to the side of the store, but there were customers coming and going almost constantly.

The staff was incredibly helpful and very cordial. One kind lady offered to be of service while I was perusing, and helpfully pointed out the customer favorites.

There are a large assortment of popcorn flavors. Many traditional ones, but several adventurous or seasonal ones. The supplies are rotated so you will likely see different flavors with each visit. All readers must try the dark chocolate sea salt carmel and the huckleberry cheesecake!

I was informed that they normally have popcorn samples for patrons, though with the current Covid pandemic, they have temporarily removed that service.

In addition to bags (or cups) of popcorn, the shop sells several chocolate treats, such as: fudge, chocolate coated pretzels, delicious cinnamon almonds, and several other sweet (and some savory) items.

If you are in need of a nice gift, the shop has several cute and ready-made gift boxes with randomly assorted popcorn bags and other treats. You may select one of these, which ranges from $20-$50. Or the shop also has an online order form where you may request specific flavors in...

I usually go in and buy molasses ginger cookies at least 4 times a month every time I have gotten good cookies or I have asked for fresh ones in the back today I got a pack of cookies that were broken and hard And when I went to exchange them I was told that I had broken them because they wouldn't let them go out of the store like that I was also told I would only be given a 2 pack in exchange for my 6 pack which I paid $10 for I looked at the owner and said are you really going to fight over $10 when you can see these aren't fresh she says I think they're fresh I said fine and I walked out. This is really poor poor practice for customer service shame on you popcorn store. I have been a manager in customer service for years and I have never been more frustrated with a business then the popcorn store. To feel justified in fighting with a customer over a $10 pack of cookies really tells us where your loyalty lies it certainly isn't with the customer. This was my first time in the shop. My family has been many times. The girl working greeted from the backroom when we arrived and my brother mentioned it was my first time. When we had questions we had to yell for her since she never came out front until we were ready to check out. She was cordial but it would have been nice for her to talk about the different items offered in the store. We bought a couple different popcorn bags (huckleberry cheesecake and cocoa caramel coconut) and some caramels. They are really good (pacing myself so I can take some home).
