Valentine Ballroom & Bridal — Attraction in Pocatello

This place is beautiful, functional, and the OWNER and her team provide fantastic service! My wedding, like every wedding, presented unanticipated challenges in both planning and execution, but Meccina was quick to respond and help everything go smoothly. VERY meaningful for a bride who was nearly at her wit's end!

PARKING downtown is difficult, but the facility's parking lot just down the street helped alleviate a lot of headache.

Getting ready in the BRIDE'S ROOM where it was quiet and well-lit helped calm my nerves and saved a lot of time from having to drive back and forth.

The KITCHEN doesn't have hot water yet, and the refrigerator isn't industrial size, but that didn't pose many problems for us because we ate off plastic, and our food items were delivered just before the event started.

Between the BALLROOM, the VAULT, and the GROOM'S DEN, there was enough space for everyone (~100 people at a time) to relax, mingle, and dine. All that space also allowed for "behind the scenes" storage, so whatever we brought and whatever it was brought in was easily accessible for set up and take down without being in sight of guests. Additionally, it was such a relief to arrive to tables, chairs, linens, and arches already set up. Then, it was even more of a relief to leave them all there for clean up after a crazy day!

Quick summary: If you are a bride-to-be, you MUST visit Valentine Bridal! Their whole team is so incredible to work with. I had three appointments at Valentine. At the first, Carrie really helped me figure out what style of dress I liked and was so kind and supportive. At the second, Alissa pulled all the dresses that fit my budget & had the style I liked. Apart from having great options (I loved all the dresses), Alissa was so patient, so supportive, and so kind. I didn't have anyone join me at the second appointment, and she happily took photos of everything so that I could think it over! She was never ever pushy or aggressive. At the third appointment when I'd narrowed it down to three, she helped me try on different veils, belts, etc.

I've tried on dresses at several different locations, and there's a tendency in this industry to be very pushy -- things like "If you don't buy the dress today, it just can't be here in time" and so on. No one at Valentine pressured me at all. They know that it's an important decision and not one to be rushed. Everyone was so helpful and supportive. I had SUCH a great experience. Honestly, if this same dress was less expensive elsewhere, I would still buy it from Valentine because they made the experience so wonderful.

The Valentine Ballroom is a gorgeous venue for a wedding! We held our ceremony in their chapel room and the reception in the ballroom and I couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful set up. It was so easy being able to go from one room to the next without having to leave and drive to another location. We had our own adorable bridal suite to get ready in and the guys had their own groomsmen suite. The large iron doors and chandeliers were a beautiful addition to the decor, along with the baby grand piano. The room wasn’t too big for our smaller turnout of 60ish people, but there was also plenty of room for so many more. The ballroom layout was perfect for room for the tables, dance floor, buffet table in the back and the drinks in the vault room.
