First National Bar — Restaurant in Pocatello

This is an amazing whiskey bar. They're a smoke-free establishment, the new flooring on the dance floor and new carpet are a great bonus not to mention have you seen that Jameson lighting out of this world great place to catch a drink play some pool darts great drink prices and the food is to die for I definitely suggest trying the First National burger and they're amazing french fries in my opinion they're both the best in town they have all new TVs throughout the whole bar come watch all your sporting events there and don't forget the chips and salsa are made fresh and homemade! There are benches outside all three entrances so you can sit and have a conversation with your friends and your service animals are welcome they'll even get a refreshing drink of water. May not be my favorite bar to hit up in Poky but also isn't a bad place to hit up either. I liked that the few times i've been here the crowd for the most part was chill & the bartenders aren't too bad either yhus seemed chill. While this place is probably one of the more hopping places in Poky to hit up during most weekday nights i've noticed that this place seems to quiet down a bit after 11:30 or so on the weekend nights (unless they have a well known band(s) playing that night) thus its usually busier early on in the night. Came in early, couple regulars there planning the.day. could still see a haze from when cigarettes were allowed. Could hear the collective gasp from the crowd when Walter Cronkite gave the final update on the assassination of President Kennedy. Even hearing that statement over the radio those who knew his voice could say they heard the iconic newscaster break just as those watching on television watched a tear roll down Walters face as he removed his black framed glasses in an attempt to regain his voice.
