Wow! I love history but i had no idea how much history we had to offer in the River Museum. Point Pleasant is growing in no small part of the Mothman festival but because of its popularity other institutions are allowed to grow. This museum is a must see if you are in the area and it is very cheap, 3 for adults 2 for kids. It’s semi interactive with the bells and keyboard but Rick is so knowledgeable and is from the area as he was informing us. I could have talked to him longer. Looking at the photos of the massive floods that occurred in the 1900s is mind boggling also. The whole area was underwater numerous times. They are still working out the kinks of the move into a new location but this is for any history lover.

It’s a smaller museum with two main rooms, one you take the elevator to get to. Some artifacts could have a bit more information about them. Overall though, it’s an interesting place. I learned a few things here and enjoyed the simulators upstairs. I was the only person in here for my entire visit, very much unlike the mothman museum. The worker here was very friendly, only $5 admission.

It's pretty ok! Affordable and informative. It did seem as if it was a work in progress. There was a lot of information and interesting artifacts, the fish tank in the museum looked a little unkempt. There were multiple of the same portrait of a couple in the museum in various places. To me and my friend, it was unsettling. If someone donated or funded a museum, perhaps one portrait with a plaque and not multiple around...
