I am a veteran Google reviewer, and let me explain why i gave cognizant cards one star. I just started to get into the hobby again and came here in hopes of finding hobby and jumbo hobby boxes, which they had for good prices. I liked their prices. Unfortunately, I did not have a friendly experience as everyone else on these reviews. The owner, or whoever the guy in the blue and white jersey was, which I'm pretty sure was the owner, was streaming live and talking to his chat and disgruntledly said I have to go do this and got up out of his chair clearly disgruntled and put off that I went to his store to spend money. I had to stand at the register before he even got up. There was no hello from him or the woman, no offer of their free boba fett tea, whatever the heck that is. There was no help or advice, I had questions I wanted to ask, and other things I wanted to buy from them but I truly felt awkward and embarrassed that I wanted to spend money in his card shop. The whole interaction was embarrassing. And he didn't even have 2 quarters to give me my change after I spent 106.50 in his store. I had to say forget about the change. I can tell you are bothered that I'm even here spending money. I bought a jumbo hobby box but I promise you I won't purchase from them again. Today, two days later, from this interaction and I went to boca raton this time to buy hobby boxes and cards, and they were so much nicer and more helpful. These cognizant cards could have earned repetitive business from me, but instead, I'm going to the guys in boca raton, Florida cards and collectibles, off powerline rd #25. Maybe I just caught them on a bad day, but I promise you it was very unwelcome. I don't know how they have as high as ratings as they do after my experience, but looks can be deceiving. I would love to give them a second chance because I really did like their prices, but honestly, they did not want me there or my money the way he acted, and I was a brand new customer. That's okay. Take the little bit longer drive to boca. You...
Read morereceived not one greeting upon entering the store at 4 pm & we were in there for 10 mins with no acknowledgement while 5 employees were huddled around a playing table. when i asked if anyone worked there, they were very aggressive saying “there’s tons of workers here” being snarky as if that wasn’t already apparent. the problem was none of the 5 employees in the empty store wanted to help us & then gave attitude when we tried getting someone to help us purchase. they literally started arguing amongst themselves who would help us.. ig that’s what’s to be expected when you’re hiring teenagers who get paid regardless. we chose to go to a different card shop that wasn’t being run by entitled teenagers who were more occupied conversing with their co workers than producing sales for the owner. if you filter lowest to highest, my review is congruent with everyone else saying how ridiculous the customer service & the uncomfortable environment the hires here create. what’s more upsetting is the owner is aware of this behavior from his employee’s, & months later his employees are still acting the exact same? within a 15 min radius from this shop there’s multiple card stores that not only offer excellent customer service but have more inventory as well save the time &...
Read moreCalled with legitimate questions “Randy” couldn’t be bothered to engage and when I called him out on it he told me he was busy.
I was unaware they didn’t sell the product I have been buying from other local stores and then had a question about a product they do sell and his response was to talk to the boss.
This guy definitely should not be answering this businesses calls. As someone who loves supporting small business and buying a lot my product from local shops this place just lost an ideal customer as clearly they only care about profits and not the hobby aspect of the business. Based on reviews and my experience if you’re wanting to just grade cards and squeeze profit out of the hobby yeah come to this place. If you want to go somewhere that is driven by the passion of the hobby, I’d say go elsewhere. Randy I’d recommend not answering the phone if you’re too busy to engage a...
