This is an incredible theater considering the size of the area it's in. It's one of the most comfortable for sure. It features well spaced seating and large power reclining chairs that made the viewing experience very enjoyable

Our movie this evening was in theater #6, which appears to have improved specs over at least some of their other screens. The screen size was not huge by any means, but was sufficient for a good viewing experience. According to the wall plaque on entry and the pre-roll, this particular screen featured Dolby 3D capability (our movie was not in 3D) and Dolby 7.1 surround sound. I'm not sure if that applies to all of their screens, or just this one in particular.

There were a few flaws that I noticed, which most theaters are guilty of unfortunately. One of the major ones is the placement of an exit sign near the screen. It is an unfortunate side affect of having the emergency exit near the screen. While this happens a lot in theater designs, there are proper signs designed specifically for this situation that minimize the amount of residual light that gets reflected off the actual movie screen. Unfortunately, like nearly all smaller theaters, this sign was not one of them and the left edge of the screen suffered from light coming from the exit sign. Thankfully the brightness of the projection bulb was sufficient to overcome the reflection the majority of the time, so it was not as noticable.

I don't know what the typical ticket price is here, as apparently they do a special on Tuesday's where all tickets are $5 each. This was also a nice surprise. Concessions in my opinion were reasonably priced in comparison to what I'm used to paying at the AMC theater in Lake Delton, but also compared to the smaller theater in my home town. I worked 11 years as a projectionist for my towns theater, so I'm well aware of how things work and why prices are what they are for concessions.

My family and I normally would go to the large AMC theater in Lake Delton during our vacations, but the AMC theater is poorly maintained, and to put it as nicely as possible, is very disgusting (hint: don't look under and behind the seats!) We've considered making the 30 minute drive to Portage a few times, and today we went for it. My entire family was pleased with our experience at this theater and we will definitely be returning the next time we are in the Dells. Even with the price of gas being as ridiculous as it is, the experience was well worth the extra...

First experience here and I wouldn’t recommend it. As soon as we walked in the door they demanded that we open our blanket to prove that we weren’t hiding anything inside. Never had this problem at a Marcus or AMC before. Second, the manager seemed very off putting when asked if we could switch out our medium sized drink for the venom cup and pay the difference. He said “no because you walked away with the cup.” It’s a paper cup how expensive could it be? We wanted to dump the old drink into the cup so we could have the souvenir cup but the manager was very rude about it. They advertise these amazing recliner chairs but they were covered in spilled popcorn, barely opened up so there isn’t any recline, and they were set up in the same form as a typical cinema so as you recline you can’t see the bottom 2 feet of the screen. Poor customer service and poor cinema design. I’d recommend sucking it up and going to the AMC in Lake Delton. At least you’d have nicer people and a...

Very nice little gem in our neck of the woods!

These theaters have a classic feel with modern amenities. They carry all the usual essentials with the addition of alcoholic beverages and reclining leather seats! The screens are a little small but comfortable and the audio makes up for any size issues. We like to select the seats online and pay in advance.

On Tuesday all movies are $5 for a more budget friendly option. Plenty of free parking across the street and large clean restrooms.

We have been here multiple times and the customer service has been very hospitable and courteous. We would highly recommend it if you are in the area or just a local!

UPDATE With all the new road construction going on, it can be a bit harder to get to. But the parking lot is still available and the street is permissible. Just plan...

It was my first time at this theater, and I had a great time. The seats are very comfortable, and the screen has great resolution. The only downside was the service. There were three girls working last night, and they all had terrible attitudes. They didn't even say hello; they treated us in the worst possible way. Extremely rude.

This theater is the best! Nothing beats comfortable reclining chairs! We stopped going to the Desert Star in Lake Delton and drive to Portage now from the Baraboo area. Several of our friends are doing the same. Reasonable pricing is a bonus too!
