I wanted a new England sofa and Jean was a HUGE help. I loved the pressure-free approach Portage Furniture has, unlike other furniture stores. I knew the main fabric and one accent fabric (sea turtles) but struggled with the second accent pillow option. Jean's accent fabric choice (yellow) was the chef's kiss. Jean assured us it's her job to ensure we're thrilled with our order (AKA: no buyers remorse) so mixing fabric choices was fun! I even took the fabric samples home to make sure I liked them in my room before ordering. The sofa arrived within a few weeks and the delivery team was kind, considerate, and quick. The Portage Furniture store was amazing to us! We had shopped in Madison for furniture and then came to Portage Furniture and found the exact furniture we wanted! From the sales staff to the delivery guys to Aaron, the Owner, we couldn’t have asked for more! We were building a new home and ordered our furniture through Portage Furniture around Thanksgiving in 2023. Aaron ordered it all and held it for us in their warehouse until our house was finished. My husband and I love this furniture store. Twenty plus years ago my we bought a couch & chair here and loved it. After shopping some "big box" furniture stores, here in Madison WI, and a couple smaller ones and finding nothing, we decided to make the drive to Portage, WI. It was well worth it as we found just what we wanted and Rosie assisted us wonderfully - moving various chairs over to the couch we picked out so we could envision how well a chair went with it and she was so patient through all we put her through.
