This is a very small park, mostly visited by tourists to get a nice view of the City of Portland skyline...🏫📱

please don't park your vehicle in the lot next to the park. It's no longer a school, it's now apartments, is private property and subject to 🚓 towing without a permit. There's usually sufficient parking on North St 🚗🚙 😌

The locals like to come and sit around on a nice day, the dog owners show up with their pups, and for the most part... clean up after their dogs. The lazy owners, that don't pick up seem to go elsewhere... yay!👍

I live next to the park and enjoy the greenery from my windows, many birds, squirrels, and seagulls, with benches and two City Of Portland donated picnic tables. 👍 Kids like to run around and play here..., for the most part, it's safe and the space is small enough to monitor children. 👍

😠The drawback is..., in the warmer weather, in the evenings and at night, there can be many noisey teens and young adults. Even worse, sporadically, there have been drug dealers and users that interrupt the peaceful surroudimgs. Local PD does their best to remove them, but they keep coming back. It can be precarious if alone at night.👎

My advice, keep the visit to daylight hours and if so inclined, walk down Quebec St to the Eastern Promenade... really nice there too. 👍

If refreshments are in order, two streets over on Congress & North is the Hilltop Superette... The new owner, has friendly employees, lots of nice hot and cold food items, sandwiches, snacks, candy, beverages, picnic tables and an ice cream window......

I've lived in Portland most of my life. There are many great views of Portland. This would probably be in my top five of best places in Portland! Us locals Call It The View! Whereas you can see a lot of downtown Portland and the boulevard. It's great to relax sit on a bench watch...

In 19 years I've never been to this park. Someone.who works for the city suggested it for the eclipse viewing and it was perfect. Nice view, not too crowded. Easy to get a parking spot. Will come back with my lunch soon.

Easily accessible and a very nice view during Sunset. Good to go sit and chill for a little. Parking may be an issue, so it would be ideal to get there with time to look for a parking in the residential area.
