We came to town on a cruise and took an Uber so my wife could shop. I'm just a supportive husband. There was a spinning circle happening which i found fascinating and asked if i could sit and watch. It was cool and i was included in their friendly conversation while watching them spin on several different machines. One of the spinners offered to give us a ride back to the port area and offered some great suggestions for ice cream. Read moreWow - where to start...I had so many questions and Casey was so accomodating and down to earth. Loved connecting with her and enjoyed her story about the Cashgora yarns she carries. Such a beautiful yarn with a rich origin...please consider picking some up if you can! She helped me choose a couple of patterns and even added them to my Ravelry library and printed them for me. Can't wait to get back when I have time to explore some more. Her yarn, fiber, and notion stock is impressive AND she sells and rents spinning wheels in addition to teaching classes. Can't say enough great things about PortFiber - wish she would open one...
Read moreI recently got into needle felting and this is THE STORE in Portland to get all your supplies. They have lots of wool types, and colors suited for beginners and experts. They also have many needles, brushes, beads, wire, and mats. If you're looking for something, they most likely have it. I do not embroider or use yarn, but the yarn I did see was gorgeous. On top of that the person who helped me (and I'm sad I didn't get their name) was so incredibly helpful and caring. They even endulged my plant obsession! If you like any type of fiber arts, this is the shop to check out! Thank you so much again...
