You will WITHOUT A DOUBT get stronger and more fit at this gym, regardless of your activity levels or experience. I have been lifting here since March 2024 and I have gained tremendous strength.
I love the layout of this facility. It's spacious and has excellent old-school and new-school equipment. I use the outdoor facility and "the cage" all the time, and would highly recommend upgrading your membership so you have access to these. The indoor facility is also always clean and stays very well ventilated.
The staff are approachable and knowledgeable. Janna, after an initial consultation with me, recommended exercises to reduce my acute knee pain. After six months of consistency, my knee pain is gone and I'm stronger than ever. Coltin, Andrew, Bruce, and Andres are all very kind as well. Stellar staff.
As far as the gym culture... Everyone is here to work. Of course, you'll hear chatting and laughter, but this is people's sanctuaries and safe spaces. This gym doesn't strike me as a "looky" gym (men are respectful and focused on themselves). The crowd here is about a third older folks, a third adults over 30/35, and about a third of individuals under 30 years. All this is to say that it's a diverse crowd of people with different goals, experience levels, and body types. Regardless of where you are in your fitness journey, you will fit right in at WCF.
I absolutely adore this gym and continuously compare other gyms to this one... Absolutely top-notch facility. The only thing WCF is missing is a basketball court!! And some cooler merch!! This is mainly focused on customer service, kindness, and understanding.
The gym had to shut down due to COVID like a lot businesses. During this time they decided to make a unilateral decision for ALL of their members, and put a soft "freeze" on the accounts while continuing to charge $10 a month.
They've since resumed charging full-price, and are partially open. While this gym seems to be following health and safety guidelines, I am not comfortable working out in a public space indoors.
The announcement to resume charging full price was not sent through a physical letter, but just emails that can easily be lost in spam filters.
Why not keep the accounts on a soft freeze until that person actually walks back in the door? Answer: more money.
When I attempted to cancel last month, I was given the run-around and told the membership coordinator was out of the office. Then he was on vacation.
I finally get him on the phone and am met with zero kindness or understanding. He wouldn't work with me on a partial refund or even avoiding the monthly charge going through today, October 14.
He kept pointing to the contract that was signed, even though West Coast Fitness made decisions outside of that contract when the COVID shutdown happened.
So to sum it up this gym charged me over $200 for services I wasn't using DUE TO A PANDEMIC. And will not work with me at all.

THE FACILITY - Incredible gym with amazing, professional, empathetic staff.
They offer an indoor and awesome outdoor gym with every fitness class you can think of.
The facility is kept clean and organized. They have pretty much any machine you will need, whether you do cross fit, powerlifting, cardio, dance, etc.
They have fitness drinks which is convenient, they also sell some fitness gear.
THE CULTURE - EVERY single person I've met, either the people who work there, or work out there, are the nicest I've met in any gym. Great gym culture.
I've been seeing Andrea for personal training. I've had a good handful of trainers, and never have I met one so empathetic, smart, and ready to help you meet your goals regardless of your fitness level. She knows when to push you and when your body might need a rest.
The gym manager Janna is an angel on earth and one of the kindest people I've ever met.
David knows customer service. He will always greet you with a smile, and always willing to help out.
Everyone at the front desk is kind and customer service oriented. I wish I could remember everyone's name.
