At the risk of sounding hyperbolic, Sasha and her hair magic literally changed my life. In 40 years, I had MAYBE only two good haircuts from random stylists who knew how to handle curly hair. I had no real idea how to care for or style my hair, and fell into all sorts of horrible trends and curly misinformation on the internet. My hair was never as vibrant as I felt on the inside.

After working with Sasha and her full curly service including hair care tutorials and some new appropriate hair products, my mane looks fabulous EVERY DAY. Strangers literally stop me to compliment my hair.

She is also a whiz with color and highlights, and offers great, environmentally conscious and equitable products in her cute salon.

My experience at Marigold Salon was amazing and I will definitely be coming back! This charming and comfortable little studio nestled in North Portland had me feeling like a celebrity who has special access to the best hair stylists in town. Emily Elizondo, whom I’ve also seen at other shops, is Marigold’s latest and greatest addition, and I love getting my hair done by her. I consistently look and feel my best after each visit, and always look forward to the next one! Sasha, the owner + operator, has been doing my hair for the last couple of years. From day one, she’s always taken great care of me and my hair. I feel like she really cares and pays attention to each person’s unique hair texture, on top of their preferences and needs from a haircut. She’s lovely and personable (but will also leave you be to play on your phone/read a book if that’s more your style). I always walk away feeling refreshed after a haircut with Sasha!
