I will NEVER do business with this joke of a Pawn Shop and I will NEVER recommend anybody to do business here either. My buddy pawned a Honda eu3000is generator at this place about a month and a half ago. He called before his first month interest payment was due to see how much it was gonna cost to get it out and they no longer had it!!! They allowed someone else to pick it up without my buddies permission. They said he authorized it over the phone--which he didn't-- and that's not even proper protocol. The person pawning something MUST authorize in writing on the pawn slip if they allow someone else to pick up the item they pawned. He fought with them over the phone for over two weeks while they refused to do anything about it. They swore he gave someone else permission, even though it wasn't given on the pawn slip and they couldn't produce a video of him giving permission. After weeks of them refusing to help he got a call from them and they said he could go to the Spokane Pawn One and pick up the exact generator as long as he paid the original loan plus interest. We went to the Spokane shop on Saturday and they wheeled out a rusty generator that was no where near in good of shape as the one he pawned. The key start wouldn't work so u could only use the pull start. The associate told us the battery was dead but there was no way of charging it. It was scratched up and rusty... We ended up going to Walmart and spending $46 on a new battery just to see if the key start would work... My buddy pawned an almost perfect generator. Shiny, bright red. Everything worked perfect. And they rolled out a POS rusty, broken generator to replace the one they sold. We left the place and instantly called Aaron, the guy my buddy had been talking to from the PF store and after explaining what a POS the replacement generator was, Aaron said he'd figure things out and call my buddy on Monday. No call from Aaron yesterday (Monday). So my buddy called again today. 3x. Each time he asks to speak with Aaron, he gets put on hold and gets left on hold. Nobody ever picks up. So just to be done with the whole fiasco, he called the Pawn One shop in Spokane today to see if he could just go buy the POS generator and he was informed that they sold it!!! He again called Aaron and NOTHING!!!! Never in my life have I witnessed such bad business!!!! My buddy knows EXACTLY how many hours he's used his generator. He knows how well he's taken care of it. And they feel they're "even" by giving him a rusty, broken generator that they know nothing about and could possibly break down after an hour of use??? Not to mention they are demanding he pay the $500 loan and $100 interest to get it back, even though the person who illegally got his generator out of pawn already paid the $600 to get it out!!!! I am appalled with how they've treated my buddy!! They called him a liar and then straight lied themselves when they said he gave permission over the phone. They then lied again when they said he personally gave this guy permission. They couldn't produce the video of my buddy giving someone permission bcuz one doesn't exist! HE NEVER GAVE ANYBODY PERMISSION!! They couldn't produce the pawn slip with him giving someone permission bcuz it doesn't exist either!!! HE NEVER GAVE ANYBODY PERMISSION!!! But they're treating him like HE did something wrong here. Their business ethic is disgusting and as soon as his lawyer gives him the go ahead, I am personally making sure that he contacts the BBB so hopefully nobody else gets jerked around by these crooks. Luckily it was only a generator and not a family heirloom or prized possession. Bcuz Pawn One could care less bout their customers!!! I hope everybody reads this and really thinks twice before doing business here. If it could happen to my buddy, it could just as easily...
Read moreWent in there a couple weeks ago to sell a 2 year old 32" Element tv with included wall mount and got quoted $20, I asked to pawn it instead (I have an account in good standing) and was still offered $20. I was told I could take the $20 or "try my luck with Craigslist that is also flooded with tv's". I feel I was told this in spite, as the day before I had hung up on an employee who I believe is that very same individual I spoke to in person, after I was on hold for 10 minutes and being told, "we cannot accept a tv without the stand". (I did find the stand) Well just so happens that a family member of mine was also a little low on funds, and decided to take their identical 2 year old 32" Element tv in to pawn it. They received $40. I proceeded to call Pawn1 and ask for the manager. The manager did not want to talk to me (wasn't stated but pretty obvious as I can hear him speaking about the phone call in the background) so I ended up talking to 2 employees. They both avoided giving me the corporate phone number. I told the second employee I spoke to that I know for a fact they will offer more for a pawn when you have a solid account than they will to buy it. I was informed my "thinking is a little backwards on that" and they offer more to buy. Past interactions shows that is not true, and I believe most people know that as well. The tone of the employee changed when I informed him I personally know who went in there and exactly what they received for their tv not 30 minutes later. Sadly I no longer have the sheet of paper with the Manager's name on it, but I remember faces. Figured I would leave this review, as the customer service I received that...
Read moreI have been going to this location for close to two years now, and I have been impressed with the atmosphere and the professionalism I have witnessed. Example: a customer was very firm on what price he wanted to get on an item he was selling. The employee working with him on it was very professional and respectful in the way he explained, multiple times, that he couldn’t buy it at the price he wanted because he would have to make money off the item. I almost went up to the salesman and thanked him for how well he handled it. You ask then why I’m rating at 2 star. Reason is for the experience I had today. I brought in an item that I really wasn’t sure if I could sell. Turned out it wasn’t something they could sell, and the salesman told me straight, and I was ok with it. The part that left the sour taste in my mouth was how two of the salesmen started talking about my attempted sale as I was walking out the door. From my experience and training in sales, if you have a sales interaction at someone’s door, you don’t talk about the interaction, with your partner, until you are away from the house and in the car driving away. I feel that a sales interaction in a store should be the same way. I felt it was unprofessional and disrespectful to talk bad about our interaction while I was at least within hearing range. This is not a review against this store, just trying to point out where service could have been given better. Just remember, people are listening to what you say and...
