Waffle House — Restaurant in Powder Springs

I absolutely love waffle House but my last several visits to waffle House ( not just this wafflehouse) have not been the greatest and tonight was the worst-ever, from the service to the food to the environment. tonight was a horrible experience. Apparently it was shift change when I came in, Kristi took my order, told the cook to drop my T-bone steak and then she answered the phone and proceeded to take a very large to-go order. I ordered my steak medium so it was probably done before she ever got off the phone. She finished calling in my order and then she called in the to-go order and then she proceeded to count the drawer and had to count it twice. I finally had to ask another waitress if I could get a cup of coffee since I hadn't gotten my drink yet. Kristi brought me my food, the steak was well done, my scrambled eggs we're actually fried hard and then chopped up before being placed on my plate. Kristi never came back over to check on me. Find me after I was already done eating she walked over laid my check down didn't ask me if I wanted a refill on coffee didn't ask me why I hadn't touched my steak and turned around and walked away. The majority of the time I was there another waitress was doing whatever they do with their checks at the end of their shift all the while she was on her cell phone with the speakerphone on so everybody in the restaurant could hear both sides of the conversation and it was very loud and obnoxious. Christie finally walked back over to me with the coffee pot after my coffee cup has been empty for probably 10 minutes. I told her I didn't want any coffee I would just like her to take the steak off of my ticket since it was overcooked. turn to the Cook and says I'm going to have to take this take off her check because you overcooked it. A few minutes later he replies, "well where is it" and then proceeded to walk over so he could see the steak. I'm really not sure what that was about but he didn't bother to apologize for over cooking the steak. At that point Christy asked me if it was okay if she took 10% off my check which would have been $1.40. I told her no that was not okay I would like to just be charged for an egg breakfast which...

My server was excellent and professional. Wish the same could be said for the Cook/ Manager or time leader. My order was incorrect and sent back. Asked for my hashbrowns covered. They did not arrive that way. The cook placed a slice of cheese over it and sent back to the table. Food was sent back . At which time the Cook /Manager team lead was overheard stating "Whatever". My trust in the service came into question. Felt that he needed to be watched with my food. At which time he turned to me to be confrontatiional and at which time I politely explained to him that I will watch him cook it correctly and not add any additional ingredients to my hashbrowns except what was ordered. I further had to explain that if the food is burned than it will not be payed for, seeing that he was making attempts to be spiteful. We will not be returning to this Waffle House at the present time or in the near future. And I hope thi matter is taken care of by management. The last experience was with a waitress on nightshift with extremely Looong nails - that was the first sign of disaster! She was refused to take My order by listening to everything I needed so She would Not have to go BK n forth! Most definitely She got everything wrong! Needless to say when She was being smart that her nails are okay! Under the tips that were fake ( She waved her nails at Me! Her real nails were brown and as I thought- very unhealthy! When she served the food her nails were touching all on the plate and the food! I recommend not using her... Her ... You could Even hear the people at the table by our table talking about them!
