What a wonderful place to visit. We went on a behind-the-scenes tour and saw the adjacent office building and house. In addition to those, we saw the basement and attic within the house. The house is in great condition and the staff have gone to great lengths to make it as original as possible.
In the attic, there were a few other pieces that weren't on display for various reasons. It was a nice bonus.
On the day we toured, there was another group recreated a historical Victorian breakfast so the house smelled wonderful. It would be fun to return and participate in that breakfast.

Read moreThis was an amazing experience. The history of the house and the area is fantastic. Not only do you see a lot of the original furniture and restored house but there are photographs of the family that lived there. I could try and imagine exactly what it was like at that time. The time period this restoration is geared to is the 1890’s, but the history of the city goes back to the 1600’s, I’m told. Then we were taken into the main house. The home is just beautiful and well maintained. The furnishings were just beautiful in all the rooms. The tour guide talked about the family and the home.
