The island is a great place to spend time on the riverfront, playing disc golf, using the bike/pedestrian trail, and bird watching. There are special events all year long. Don't miss Music on the River, Thursdays from June through August! I would give five stars, but they don't allow dogs everywhere on the island, and I think they could manage the land in a more environmentally...

There is a tavern on the island, and the festival had a wine , beer , & non-alcoholic TENT ! Two alternating stages gave continuous music ! Plenty of food trucks and craft tents . Very laid back and plenty of shade trees . Planning on going next year !
