The Scurvy Dog — Restaurant in Providence

Music is solid, dogs are welcomed and encouraged, which is nice, but the pool table was NOT friendly. The customers were very rude to me and my friend, ending our game before we were done by announcing it mid-shot and rudely dumping our remaining balls. They then took the table for the rest of the night, so we left to the Eagle where pool is free.

Drinks aren't strong, but they are flavorful, as in mixed well, which is good. Patio and bar has warm, dim lighting. There is so much seating on this patio! Maybe a half a dozen four-seat UMBRELLA tables, and several chairs paired on different areas. This patio has to be the coziest of the ones I've been to so far. If you can't be inside, outside is worthy.

Ladies bathroom is small single-use, but it was clean when I was there. Men's bathroom has a urinal and a toilet, but there is no door to the toilet, only to the room, and the main door in doesn't lock, anyway.

...Not sure I'd come back, maybe to see the dogs, but I don't feel comfortable inside (because the people, not the place). Patio is nice, but I don't know, man...are puppies worth misogynistic down-talking?...

As a prov local who has been to hundreds of bars, I cannot wrap my head around the bad reviews. Especially the one claiming the bar is anti-lgbtq, because it 100% is not.

I come here often, maybe once a week, sometimes twice. Place is awesome, the bar tenders are friendly if you have time to strike up a convo with them. Super down to earth crew, and the owner is pretty damn cool too. They aren't expensive by any means, and have quick and consistent service.

Like I mentioned, I have been to hundreds of bars in RI, and this is my favorite one, because the staff is cool, and the customers that come in are just as awesome. Place is super welcoming. Every friend I have ever brought to this...

If I rewind the tape to my visit, the best bartender is named John, he loves to talk about his service in the army and is very relatable. Food is good I would stifle it anytime. The wait is long but good enough for government work. There are some crazy cats that come in at night but there are only a couple tree of them. They have a bartender with orange hair that does computer science who is a donkey and not good compared to the one with buck teeth. Whenever I’m there I never want to leave it’s like I have inertia. Make sure to be very pacific with your order and wear red shirts on Thursday or you’ll be sent to the dean. That’s enough turkey talk it’s my free time...
