Read moreEDIT: It's been 2 years since my original review. I have been back since and some of the previously listed issues have gotten worse. There were homeless shopping carts parked at the entrance. The cushioned seats are so dark with dirt and pungent with sweat that you feel you need a shower after sitting in some of them. The Wi-Fi has screeched to a trickle making you wonder if they are using dialup. Finally, I observed a man viewing "borderline" appropriate material on one of the library computers. When I brought it to a librarian's attention, it seems nothing was done. If you want a safe, clean, well staffed library in the area, I recommend Springville library (it is amazing the balance they have achieved there). Orem library is also a nice environment.
OLDER POST (Two Years Ago): Very nice facilities. Plenty of spots for quiet reading, quiet work, or for children to run around and play. The librarians are very friendly. It would be 5 stars were it not for all the homeless. Some days are better than others. However, the last time I was there: one man was sleeping on a bench, a pair with a picnic spread between two chairs were yelling at each other, and a particularly strong scent was coming from a 4th playing an online game nearby. Not much can be done about...

OVERVIEW - 5.0 I've lived in this area for a while now, and finally decided to go to the library.
LOCATION - 5 The library is located along the busy University Avenue. It can be troublesome to get into the parking lot for first timers, but after that it is no issue.
PRICE - 5 It's the library so you really don't have to pay for much. I'm sure there are some exceptions, but there are probably some things that cost money.
PRODUCT/SERVICE - 5 Library books, movies, cd, etc are practically all previously used by previous patrons, which is no big deal. Everything appears to be well cared for.
POINTERS/PERKS - 5 If you have a library to the Orem library you can sign up and get a library card at the Provo library, it is like a partnership that they have. If you're into the Pokemon Go app, I heard there's a Pokestop or PokeGym or something there... In the basement there is a public use phone that is no charge, but they request that you keep the phone calls to a five minute minimum.
EMPLOYEES - 5 The employees were all helpful and kind, had...
