As soon as you walk in the door to Sportelli's, you are greeted with a warm and friendly welcome from one of the owners Iain. You can tell he put a lot of heart and soul and work into renovating the place and crafting the menu. (Sportelli being the last name of his grandmother.) My parents and I tried the "build your own" pasta option (similar to an Abergine or Cafe Rio assembly line set up, where you can see your food being made and you can see which ingredients you can add.) You can tell the pasta was fresh and handmade and a perfect texture. The Rosa sauce was great and we added meatballs, mushrooms and the olive compote. The portion sizes are very large and tasty. I do wish the food temperature was a touch warmer though. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with lots of natural light and the menus are easy to navigate and very well done. Read moreWow! We came to the grand opening. Didn’t really know it was a grand opening, but we had heard a little bit. And we were NOT disappointed.
This is a great little find. I will definitely be bringing my lunch crowd. We go to lunch somewhere almost every day. This will be fantastic for me to get credit for!🙂

The staff was a little tentative and unsure. But the owner (I think his name was Ian). was so solicitors and helpful.
Apparently, he makes everything homemade. Pasta perfectly al dente. I will have to come back to try all the various sauces. But so far my favorite oddly enough is the creamy balsamic. Man oh man. Coming back just for a salad.😁
I love a good restaurant. And I hope they make a go of it. It’s worth visiting. I hope...

Let me tell you—it was the best bowl of pasta I’ve ever had. You can tell the ingredients are fresh. Beats anything I’ve ever had at Olive Garden. And don’t get me started on their bread.
As far as value goes, their servings are massive. I had to take half of it home. The staff even hooked me up with some extra bread. Sportelli’s just opened, but they’re here to stay. My waistline is...
