Luquillo Beach, Bike Rentals — Attraction in Puerto Rico

I rented a bike for 3 days, and cycled more than 60 miles! I really enjoyed cycling in the luquillo area. Almost everyone who I passed by laughed to me, saluted me or yelled to my "really nice bike". At a certain moment I thought have these local people never ever seen a bike before?. Maybe it was because of the funny looking bike model?

I had a wonderful time while cycling. The pickup was very easy. I sent a Whatsapp massage to Eugene and he came to the parking spot at the agreed time (same for the return).

I cycled with the bike to Fajardo (easily and withing 30 minutes reachable through the highway, it is definitely not danger to cycle there!). I tried to cycle to el yunque rainforest. However this was very hard since the bike doesn't have gears. I made it to las pailas and the angilito trail. The way up was very steep and had to walk at some points. But I made it, and think it is doable for everyone with some cycle experience. The way down was very easy and funny.

The bike is a beach cruiser model. Ideal for cycling on the beach. There are a lot of beautiful empty beaches without anyone in the luquillo. These are hard to reach while walking. But with the bike with fat tires. It was very easy to get there.

During my adventure I had a small mechanical issue with the bike, due to my own stupidity :(, the company took initially action and fixed the malfunction very quick. The bike was a little bit old, but had definitely a good maintenance.

I recommend to everyone renting a bike in this area, especially if you don't have a rented car. Without a bike (or car) you are sticked in luquillo town and with a bike you can visit the entire area! Besides, the bike gave me te opportunity to visit el kioskos in the evening, while staying in...

We called on a whim and they responded quickly and accommodated with little notice.

They dropped off bikes and from there, we were able to ride to luquillo beach! We spent the day riding, eating, and swimming. It was an easy ride there and made it more fun. These bikes were made to go in the sand. It was impressive and you cantell the other beach goers were watching us as we rode by.
