El Tipico — Restaurant in Puerto Rico

I visited this place solely for dinner and drinks, and it turned out to be one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. Although I’m not fluent in Spanish, the servers and bartenders were incredibly patient and understanding. The atmosphere here is fantastic. Out of the five different bars and restaurants I’ve been to, this one stands out as not only the best but also the most reasonably priced. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, checking up on me and my girlfriend almost every five minutes, even with a full house. It’s easily the best restaurant and bar I’ve ever been to. I was visiting during Christmas looking frantically for a meal to purchase for my family while on vacation in Luquillo. The owner heard my story and offered to share with me some of her personal meal she was making for her family and would not accept any money. My Family and I truly felt the love and kindness from them. She gave us so much food and it was a delicious meal we were very grateful. Nice atmosphere, waitress, and they took off the food we didn’t eat from the bill …and that’s where anything positive stops….

We waited over 2 hours for food like fish tacos, steak tacos, rice, some arepas, and montafango with grouper…..while watching nearly every patron that came in after us receive their food before us. Food was ok at best. Nothing to return back to. Even my kids stated that food should taste even better having waited so long to eat. Wish we had been one of the satisfied customers 😕.
