We arrived around 4pm and we were shown the property right away by Faviola. She was a very energetic and cheerful person and makes you feel at home. The property is just AMAZING. The surroundings and the house is completely clean, the colors of the house are in harmony, the common areas smell like coconut (amazing) and our room also smelled really good. We got a private room, beautifully decorated, the art on the wall was a plus and the bed was comfortable. They got two different rooms for showering. The showers and the toilets were neat and I saw they got Clorox wipes. Also they got disposable masks and sanitizer in case you needed some. They are prepare to receive people and make them feel safe. We just loved the vibe. They also got hammocks, paddle board for rent, free coffee and drinkable water. The house is next to the river mouth of a river that comes from El Yunque. It formed like a pool with clean brackish water. We swam all afternoon and it was refreshing. Also, it is next to approximately 5 miles of isolated coast of the ocean, where you can enjoy wildlife and no human traces such as trash or even load music. You can a enjoy a peaceful walk and enjoy the essences of Puerto Rico. We also went body boarding at the beach in front of the house. Good waves and warm waters. The house is walking distance to restaurants such as Board Riders. We had dinner and few beers at an open space in front of the ocean. The mornings are simply beautiful because you can enjoy the awakening of the birds and also the sunrise is right in front of the house. We met Coral, the owner, and she is amazing host also. She told us the story behind Casa Coral and also recommended good places to eat around. We will be back soon and will stay...
Read moreI stayed here during Memorial Day weekend while I was visiting the island for a week. I had never stayed at a hostel before and a friend recommend I stay at one while I was solo traveling in Puerto Rico. I found Casa Coral on HostelWorld and after reading about their amenities, locations, and rooms, I booked my stay in one of the all-female dorms. I arrived Friday evening after some delays at the airport and Fabiola welcomed me like I was a family member. She was so incredibly friendly, kind, and full of knowledge! She gave me a quick tour of the place and gave me food recommendations. My bed in the dorm was cozy and I had enough space for my suitcase and backpack. The entire place was immaculately clean and I was so impressed because there were a handful of other travelers staying that weekend. Never had an issue waiting for one of the bathroom or shower stalls or finding parking in the small lot outside. I loved the blackboard in the outdoor kitchen that had so many recommendations. On my first full day I caught sunrise at the beach next to the hostel and made my way to El Yunque (a convenient 10 minute drive away from the road that takes you to the rainforest). I loved going to the food kiosks in Luquillo for dinner and being around locals. Each day I woke up super early to do sightseeing so I didn't get to rent out one of their kayaks, but I heard from other travelers they loved going into the preserve with them. Before I left, Fabiola gave me her bottle of coconut oil to help with the bug bites I'd gotten during my hikes in El Yunque. I wish my stay had been longer there but now I know I have a place to come back to on my next visit to...

From the BOOKING process the customer service was AMAZING. Tyrone knew I was having technical difficulties trying to book online and literally called me and I was able to just book over the phone! (Thank you!) This hostel was a first for my husband and I, and it was the cutest and cleanest! All the workers are so friendly and warm welcoming. Mariola picked us up/dropped us off at the airport, her sister Fabiola checked us in and gave us the tour around the hostel and everyone that worked there kept it so clean (even the guests) there are a total of 4 common area toilets/showers. There are 4 private rooms and one room where you get your own bathroom if you're lucky enough to snag it! The best part of being here was the beach being steps away! Nothing but locals, no tourists, so no crowded beaches right there! Restaurants are also about a few blocks away and are so yummy! If you didn't rent a car (like us) the hostel will most likely take you where you need to go for a reasonable fee. Tyrone helped us out and took us to our bio bay tour and we were so grateful! It's VERY humid in Puerto Rico, BUT you have AMAZING AC in the rooms so dont worry. Keep an eye out for the extra visitors, aka the ducks and iguanas, stray cats, chickens and horses! We can't wait...
