Consorte is a hidden gem in Luquillo. My Wife & I came to celebrate my 40th birthday & had an amazing time. It gives off HOME vibes. When you walk in, the wall has family photos of the owner Charo & chef Miguel from their childhood growing up in Cuba. The food was spectacular!!! I love having authentic Cuban food in PR. I had the Ropa Vieja (MUST HAVE) with white rice, black beans & maduros. It literally transported me back to my childhood, siting on Abuela’s kitchen waiting for the food to be served. My wife had the Camarrones allejios the empanadillas , also amazing. She ordered tostones which came with a strawberry infused garlic paste which took the dish to another level. The Coconut mojito was bomb too & each meal was like $15. Unbelievable. Cannot stress how great this place is. Must add stop after a day in El Yunque or lounging out at Luquillo Beach. I was wandering the town trying to find a place to eat on Christmas eve. Like out of a movie all the windows were dark except for this place. I opened the door and was hit with a wall of energy. The music was lively, the patrons abuzz, the staff chatting with any who had an open ear. The owner stops by and asks the cook sitting at the bar right next to me what's left, and they promptly bring me the biggest most delicious pile of food one could only dream of. Turns out they were just about out of stuff so loaded me up what what they had. Beans, rice, yuka and pork. Everything was so good from the vibes to anything my fork touched. The value was insane but the friendliness was priceless, I can only imagine what they're full menu is like.

Don't miss this place, it's easy to do. A small hole in the wall but with big personality and flavor. Plus they have a nice back outdoor seating area!...

A&A: Amazing & Authentic cuban food. The chef is a wiz that stays true to his Cuban roots and serves the best slow roasted pork, EVER! Came back a few times, and the food consistently delivers.

Warm service: We were treated like family from the first visit.

Great music: The owner has spectacular taste in everything from Salsa to House. Live DJs set the party off right on Fridays and Saturdays.

Solid drink menu. The bartender is on 🔥.

This review is inspired by the chefs secret dipping sauce. I'll be dreaming of that perfect sweet and salty combination all winter.
