Punta Gorda Charlotte Library — Attraction in Punta Gorda

The library is very nice and the lady who works in the kids area is great! She is very kind, friendly and polite. It makes the experience awesome just in this area. Unfortunately, the supervisor Jonathan ( not sure about the spelling of his name) is very offensive, peevish and he has races problems. He joked about my English referring a joke about numbers. It shouldn’t happen with the supervisor of any spot in a state with so many Spanish speakers. I understood his joke and the lady who was with me also, so please try to hire people more educated and respectful. If I don’t speak English 100% perfect doesn’t mean I don’t understand it, I speak two languages you just one. I love the new library, it is one of the most complete and fancy I have been in. I have one complaint, the mask mandate for the covid has been lifted by Gov. DeSantis months ago, yet the library is still pushing the mask wearing onto patrons, enough is enough, if patrons want to wear them ok, if not ok, if your mask protects you then you have no reason to push wearing a mask...

They have been doing a great job of staying ahead of problems since covid pandemic began. They have still allowed books, videos, etc. Circulation is still happening and the staff is extremely helpful. Keep going to support the continuation of the library.
