I bought the whole chicken ( the chicken was packed by them, not the one was imported and sealed by the company) and I asked them to help me to cut it in pieces (since they have all the machine and stuff there) as what other shop normally do but they refused it. And even the manager there told me that they donāt have that service there. I found it kinda funny because I thought thatās what the butcher shop is for. Moreover, this is a once-in-awhile service, only whoever really need help would ask, not like everyone request that. So keep in mind if you need help with things like this you better go to other stores like Fortune, Stop&shop, 99 ranch. People there would help you with all their hearts.
One more thing. Pay attention to the expiration date on the package because not all the things they put on shelfs are new pack. Last time I brought a soybean paste home then realized that it was packed on September last year and it will be expired within a few days. I didnāt bother to bring them back cuz it took so much work so I ended up throwing it in the trash. What a waste of money since the stuff from their store...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI've been to locations throughout CA, IL, NY, NJ, MA, (almost MI), PA but... This might be my favorite one, if not Top 3 for nostalgia.
I'm quite surprised it's a 4.4 rating compared to other locations around Boston that I don't like as much (including Burlington, which used to be my favorite in MA). Slightly convinced to scrap money to move to a hut in Eastern MA.
I could have been homesick too, although I loved how clean and spacious it was. There were people but not elbow to elbow like I usually witness while shopping. I went on a Sunday which, I think is a busy errands day for most people, right?
Selection was wonderful too. Not only was there a lot of banchan but the PRODUCE section won. They were fresh and some varieties I wouldn't be able to find in some of the other locations.
Food court food was also on point. š„ Service was kind too!
.. Actually, everyone I ran into was really friendly and polite!
I find joy in the home goods/kitchen section and while it wasn't as massive as the one in Philly, it had a decent amount of goods I almost bought. I had to restrain myself, as usual.
Overall, very...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went to H-Mart to enjoy my time with some family members. We had a hard time finding seats because we came on the weekend when it was packed.
When we finally found our seats, we each took turns ordering our food by going to each of the stores kiosk and ordering what we want.
Even though it was packed, there's wasn't a long line to order at the kiosk which was nice for a change.
I got the kimchi I don't noodles with enoki mushrooms and a Korean Kimbap at another location. I also got a winter melon bubble tea drink at another store.
I had to wait 15 to 20 minutes for my order to be ready. The drink was faster. They gave us our chopsticks and spoons to eat, but we eventually decided to ask for forks since our skills with chopsticks š„¢ were mediocre.
After filling our bellies we cleaned up our table and returned our plates. Their isn't a waiter to take care of the tables there and there isn't a receptionist either to explain things to you. You just have to
Thatis why I decided to give it 4 stars instead of 5 because the food itself tasted amazing. The drink was good too.
Overall, I had a great time...
