Walmart Incident Case #1 By : Sean McCune My little Brother and I were at Walmart in Quincy, Mass, right off of Quincy Avenue. I decided to go to the self checkout to make things a little faster and easier for ourselves. I bring my own bags and Cart with me all the time so I can contribute to the planet by reusing the bags I already have and transporting the goods home safely. I started scanning the items and putting them to the side. It was immensely busy in the store, so I decided to move a bit faster. I put a few things in my cart without bags and then I put some in with walmart bags. I made sure everything was paid for, I looked at each item when I was scanning them. Everything was now in the Walmart Cart. I made sure to pay as always, and took the receipt. I then asked my little brother if he was ready. At that time he was wheeling my Cart around until we got outside of the store. When I got to the exit door, an employee of Walmart stopped me. She asked for my receipt, and I gave it to her with no hesitation. As she was looking at my things in the cart she was opening other backs and saying certain things weren't paid for. She put a few items aside that elidually were not paid for. I then told her that can't be because I was certain I paid for everything. After about 10 minutes going through my items breaking open yogurts and ice cream and others on the way. A huge line was waiting behind us. All looking at us like we are the criminals at fault. When the employee of Walmart decided to put certain things aside that were not paid for according to her, I saw a chance to use a self checkout and I grabbed the items that weren't paid for, rang them and Paid for them . Showed her the receipt and she then gave me back my original receipt. Looking at the receipt, I paid for everything. Every last item was on the first receipt that I had given the Walmart employee in the beginning. I brought this up to her within a minute and she said we will have to refund me. Then took me to the customer service desk for a refund of the items that were already bought and paid for. I got my Money back on my Card and then I walked out with her at my side. Being immensely rude in manor and all. This whole ordeal took about thirty minutes, but finally I was outside of Walmart and putting things into my Basket Cart. My little brother and I were furious because we noticed not some but most of the items were damaged, yogurts popped open and ice cream and ect…. It was a mess. I asked for a manager but no manager ever came out. This is an attempt to violate me and my little brothers rights. This should not have happened in the first place considering everything was paid for. None of this should have happened to me and my little brother. Walmart used us as examples of illegal search and procedure. And detainment, stating my word wrong and i have to stay put and not move while they search through our bags. I wanted to tell you all this story because it's nothing I've ever gone through before and honestly feel violated. Please send this and share it as much as possible. They need to take account of all the things they as a business are doing wrong. And violating people's rights. I was more disgusted at the fact this whole thing shouldn't have happened in the first place. Thank you all for listening and have...
Read moreIt's a typical not full grocery store Walmart. Can't expect all that much from the start....but per usual it was so so so packed and it was like 630 and there was not a single working shopping cart inside the store and when I asked an employee where I can get one thinking seeing as how they aren't doing their jobs and bringing the carts back inside that an employee might ACTUALLY DO WORK TO EARN THE PAYCHECK THEY GET EVERY 2 WEEKS ESPECIALLY SOMETHING AS SIMPLE AS GETTING A CUSTOMER A CART WHEN THEY ARE ALL OUTSIDE IN THE RAIN I MIGHT ADD and the chick I asked acted like I was interrupting her at home rolled her eyes at me and in the most annoyed voice possible told ne if i want a cart that bad that the exits over there and barely even lifted her hand to point sorta towards what I KNOW IS THE EXIT, BUT THAT MOST PEOPLE WOULD NOT....I at this point was ready to already scream and wanted to lose it on this intentionally rude lazy brat but I am an actual grown adult and don't act like trash in public so I just said "thanks ever so much for your version of help I'm sure you'll have a long wonderful career here with your geat personality and customer service skills" she knew i was being fake as can be.....ANYWAYS then I fight my way thru insane crowds of people to find that out of my list of 13 items 7 of them were not in stock....I decided to give up on Walmart for that day....maybe forever...and check out.... SURPRISE SURPRISE THEY HAD SELF CHECK OUT OPEN and ONE register the register had a line of no less than 20 people all with carts full to the brim and the cashier was moving so slow it wasn't funny so I went to self checkout self checkout is now 15 it or less at that location but I had ended up with a total of 14 items i counted them multiple times I wait to 15 minutes it takes to get through self-checkout line get to the front where the lady tells me I can't come through because it's 15 times or less I point out that I have 14 items and I count them in front of her but she still tells me rude as hell that I need to go get in the regular register line or I can just not get my items but either way I was not going through self-checkout so I then had to go wait in the register line where I waited for 45 minutes to get through and pay for my items then as I'm leaving when the lady working at the door had literally made eye contact with me while I was checking out demanded I stop and show her my receipt for my 14 items that she just personally watched me pay for and I finally had it I told them to kiss my butt and I walked out the door the store was dirty as hell too poorly stocked total chaos and unorganization on the shelves rude employees useless employees nothing in stock no shopping carts 1 register open with a mile long line self checkout out is 15 items or less but I was forbidden to go thru with my 14 items THIS PLACE IS A JOKE...go to Weymouth, sagus, Lynn anywhere but this dump.... But I need Walmart could give a crap less about us because they know we have no choice but to shop there.... It's disgusting what customer service has come to and what we pay for and what we get in return sad sad sad sad all the thumbs down...
Read moreNot sure if anyone from the Walmart in Quincy, MA will read it since in general Walmart does not care about customer service. I have never done a review either but this was literally the most frustrating experience ever and I’m usually patient with employees in retail since I’ve worked it myself.
The electronics department was empty with one worker named JoJo on her earbuds where I literally had to yell excuse me 3x for her to acknowledge me. I showed her a listing on the Walmart app of the portable monitor that I was looking for (also can clearly see it says “in stock.”) she first discredits me saying “you’re showing me a laptop, what’s a portable monitor? A TV or for DVDs?” I said no look and scrolled through the pictures and showed her the title of the product. She then just points to where the regular monitors are instead of guiding me there so i’m walking like a headless horse.
So now I’m looking around the aisle where the app says it’s in for like 3-5minutes and around the aisle and still can’t find it. She ends up walking by me and again I say excuse me but she can’t hear me because once again her earbuds are in. I asked “do you think it would be in the back because the app says it’s in stock in this aisle?” She brushes me off and says nope if it’s not there then we don’t have it.
Mind you she goes ahead and helps a different customer with the most pleasant tone while I’m getting nothing but attitude and the cold shoulder.
Of course I don’t give up having drove 40minutes from Boston because it specifically said this store has a decent stock of them. I look around and long and behold it’s in the cage behind the registers.
After she was done helping the other customer ring out (while still in earphones) I said hey, “I think I found it its over here in the cage.” Over here giving me attitude, “Yeah so you’re still looking at a laptop / computer.” I said no it’s a portable monitor it literally says it in large font on the box. (Picture attached.) Finally when she reads it all she has to say after the terrible customer service “oh I didn’t know they made portable monitors.” And rings me out.
I’m sorry but you should not be in customer service if you can’t even guide me to an aisle, look at what i’m trying to show you on my phone, or pick up a scanner and just try to help me find it. The whole interaction was like I was bothering her from the moment I said “excuse me.”
Also take out your damn earbuds if you’re talking to a customer!
Again, I’m never a Karen about these things and have had worst interactions at Walmart of not getting customer service but she really seemed she did not want to...
