I’ve been to this Target multiple times every month and I am tired of the inconsistent pricing. At this point, I have to keep track of the prices of all the items that I’m buying. Just today, I bought a product that was marked as $5 on the shelf and was ringing up for $8. I asked the cashier to recheck the price or have someone check the price on the shelf. She straight up said, “I can’t leave the counter and there’s no one else to help.” There were employees just 2 feet away. The lack of interest in helping out a customer is baffling. I had to go back and get a picture of the pricing on the shelf to prove the point and then she said, “I am going to honor the pricing this once.” What do you mean by that? In Massachusetts, there is a regulation under the state’s Consumer Protection Law that mandates customers receive the lowest price marked on an item. According to 940 CMR 3.13, if a store has multiple prices displayed for a single item (for example, on the shelf and the item itself), the retailer must sell it for the lowest advertised or marked price.
This law is in place to protect customers from misleading or inconsistent pricing practices and ensures that they are charged accurately and fairly at checkout. And customers shouldn’t be teaching this stuff to cashiers. That’s basic knowledge. I’ve worked as a cashier before and I know that much. I didn’t even bother educating the cashier. I just...
Read moreHorrible experience. I shop for my mother's groceries and the cashier couldn't just simply delete an item off my purchase. She suspended the transaction and then took all of the items to another register and bottom line, she didn't know what she was doing, so I was charged twice for $80.00 total and wasn't able to walk out with any of the items which were needed for the next two weeks for food in her household. After multiple phone calls to the card/bank who says that the transactions were paid and the store itself admitted she was charged twice and to come back in with the card for refund, a gift card or just get the items that are extremely needed, they just kept saying the same thing over and over and wouldn't admit they were wrong and did absolutely nothing to resolve this fiasco. If you don't know what you're doing and can't operate a register then don't. Negative Stars for a waste of time and money taken with no food...
Read moreThis is not a full-fledged Target. It’s more of a convenient store version of Target. Smaller everything with limited inventory. This isn’t really a bad thing but they are not very reliable with inventory. Often times unexpected items will be out of stock without warning or reason. The produce section for example was just completely empty for weeks. Then once it was back there was an abundance of over ripened/rotting produce attracting pests.
Prices also regularly ring up higher than the sticker price. This is a huge problem that still has yet to be resolved.
The in-store Starbucks seems to have very limited hours. Departments are also not well maintained. Lots of clothing strewn where they should not be. Additionally several items are in locked cases due to presumably high theft.
Overall it’s a great addition to the area and the location right off the train station/bus stop is very convenient but it could use a lot of...
