This is a great little spot for great quality Japanese food and they use fresh ingredients which you can definitely notice. The restaurant is pretty small so it seems to be more of a takeout/quick-stop type of place while still having about 6 tables that seat 4 each. I usually order takeout and they have never gotten my order wrong and no matter how large or small my order is, it's usually ready in about 15-20 minutes, however, this place does get very busy at times, like on Friday nights and weekends in the summer but I haven't noticed a decline in service.
I usually order the curry chicken rice bowls and now the delicious poké bowls and I love how fresh everything tastes. They also have a large smoothie menu or you can make your own combination although I think the smithies are a bit steep in price at $5 for a small and $6 for a large.
One of my very few dislikes is that there is no dedicated parking (although given their location, it's impossible to have private parking) and the area is usually congested so street parking may be a bit difficult to find but at worst I find a side street spot and walk a couple of minutes to the store. It's also very close to the North Quincy Train Station which could be helpful to some.
I would definitely recommend this place to anyone that is craving traditional sushi but also having a diverse menu that will please everyone. The price may sometimes seem a bit high on some items but you definitely get what you pay for and more. The staff has always been awesome...
Read moreAt one point in time, this used to be the go to spot. Whether you’re going out for lunch or on a date. This was the spot where you can get a nice rice bowl for an affordable price. Not to mention, their sushi and smoothie was also pretty good. But ever since the pandemic and on wards. The quality of this place has dropped down tremendously. The owners of this place is incredibly frugal and uses cheap ingredients to prepare their food. They care more about making a profit as oppose to satisfying their customers. There’s no longer any passion or love in their food. Everything is bland and the portion is incredibly small for the price you pay for. I also wanna point out that the owner/management of this place disregards any feedback you have for them. Instead they would give you an automated generic response saying that they would let their management team know. They dont take anyone seriously. They only wanna take your money. Quincy deserves better and Bcafe has gotta step...
Read moreI am so disappointed with B. cafe today! I have been a customer for many years and each person I come across I always send them there. Today I placed a large order for work and I ordered some vegetarian maki and to my disappointment when I arrived to eat my lunch they placed it in the same tray as an order with fish so it’s contaminated. I called to make them aware of the issue and the gentleman who answered simply argued with me that how could they possibly know to separate something vegetarian if I didn’t specify. I don’t understand how I would need to specify to not mix fish with something vegetarian? Being vegetarian is a food restriction and I chose a roll according to that thus there is no reason why they would mix the two. He also told me that it would be a waste of a tray to put it separate! I was beside myself when he told me that as if I didn’t pay for my order and so I should sympathize with the fact that they have no...
