Vivi Bubble Tea Cafe Quincy — Restaurant in Quincy

After my most recent visit I can happily say I'm glad I gave this place another chance! As mentioned previously, the general manager reached out to me almost immediately wanting to apologize for the less than stellar customer service. (See previous review if you're curious.) Since we don't live conveniently close to this location, we stopped by after grabbing lunch with my parents for belated Chinese New Year celebrations in Quincy.

Even though the GM wasn't in at the time, the woman helping me reached him over the phone to relay the message. Everyone at the cafe was very helpful this second time and I was pleasantly surprised that they gave us a complimentary order of hot bubble tea drinks and an egg puff! We really appreciate that this business values customer service to reach out to me to come back to deliver a positive experience! I honestly was just expecting to receive a % off discount on the order since that was what the coupon that they were originally giving out was for. My parents also really enjoyed their teas, and commented that they loved that they could adjust their sugar/sweetness level (30% for them, 100% regular for me haha).

I forgot to mention last time (since I didn't see the area), but they also have a section of games for customers to borrow and play while hanging out at the cafe. While we waited for our drinks we played Uno and they also have Connect 4, deck of cards and some others I didn't recognize. Absolutely love this place. Drinks have been consistently good no matter what drink I buy. Boba is perfect everytime. Sad they ran out of boba 1 time I went but it was a late night. Would be awesome if they sold just cups of boba because sometimes I love eating them like a snack. Another place I used to go to would do it for me.

Food is great too. Lots of finger food type of things. Wished they had more healthy options but their menu is quite big especially for a bubble tea place. Prices are very decent too. My 1 main complaint is they repeat my order yet sometimes it still comes out wrong and I'm already home or driving before I realize and I forget the next time I'm there. I love that they have lots of people working so they can handle high volume days and I dont have to wait too long except when I get spam and egg onigiri and need to wait 20mins or longer. This might be difficult to fix but there are times when I call and the background is so loud, I can barely hear the employee taking my order. Makes me wonder if they could hear me properly.

The boss man is sometimes there on the weekends. He's so friendly and involved. Looks like he takes care of his employees and customers.

RIP-OFF ALERT

I was very excited when I found out that there was a place selling bubble tea few minutes from where I work, but I was very disappointed with the whole experience! I ordered 1 Lychee GT (Med) less ice + 2 tapioca. Compared to the large order my friend got, the median looked like small!! AND WE PAID THE SAME AMOUNT! I asked for extra tapioca, even paid extra for it, but I got very little amount! It looked like I paid extra money for a regular median. Never going back again!!! I love bubble tea but this was so far the worst I ever had. The tapioca was way too soft, you could barely chew on it and the tea was too sweet. I am very disappointed for the quality and for not getting the extra tapioca I payed for! I do not recommend this place to anyone... do not waste your money. They sell bubble tea at braintree mall and theirs are worth the money.....

Response to the owner's comment: What I was the most upset about was the fact that I paid for EXTRA TAPIOCA and did not get my money's worth! A total rip-off!!! If you are going to charge me more for the extra tapioca make sure you do add extra. You will not get very far by ripping off...
