Savvi Prom — Attraction in Raleigh

We had a terrible experience here. Two of the sales ladies hit on us by calling us love and we are not gay in any way and did not want to be hit on. The other sales lady was very classy, but she could not speak English and we had questions. We had a thin girl as the client who really needed 000 dresses, but they had NONE. We had to try on 00 dresses and they had few of them, so if you are very thin, go elsewhere. All of those would have required alterations and we were hoping to find one that did not as they do not alter the dress for you. One of the sales ladies told us that, "all dresses need to be altered anyway." They send you elsewhere to have alterations and you cannot get a refund. Another thing that struck me was that they were not sure what the dress fabric was exactly. There were two different answers from two different clerks. I also did not like the music and would have expected classical music or calming music at a place with eight hundred dollar dresses. In general, I cannot recommend this store in the least, especially if you are not gay or do not want to get hit on by the sales staff. Their approach of calling women, "love" is something that would drive away the straight clients as straight people have no problem being served by gay people, but most definitely do not want to be hit on by a sales clerk. We had an amazing experience. I called earlier in the week to find if appointments were necessary and Denise assured me they were not. She let me know their hours and busy hours. Customer service was wonderful. AJ took care of us, was helpful, and ready to answer any questions and make suggestions. Everyone else there was also delightful and helpful. The selection of gowns was extraordinary many colors, styles and sizes in stock and ready to purchase. They shared that the the women who worked there picked out all the dresses themselves. Not only did they do a phenomenal job but they were also very knowledgeable about the dresses and what would look good on. My daughter found many dresses she liked but settled on a stunner that looked perfect on her. The dressing room was open and large with good lighting, places to sit and plenty of mirrors. Checking out was also smooth and easy. There was never any up selling pressure or pushiness whatsoever. In fact there were signs in the dressing room that indicated that if you liked something that was not in your budget let them know and they would help you find something that was in your budget. I am so glad that was our first choice/stop as we needed no others and we were in and out in an hour! Great job all...

Our daughter Sofia was on a mission to find her perfect junior prom dress. We had visited 4 previous stores in two days and tried on plenty of dresses. Our last store was Savvi Prom, as soon as she stepped in she told me she knew she'd find her dress there; she continued, "I like the "vibe" here". We were initially greeted by Uliana who graciously introduced us to the organization of the dresses and how everything worked. Chloe was then waiting for us in the fitting room area and assisted us as needed. She was AMAZING; great personality, and was very helpful. She even took the time to look for other dresses that were our daughter's style and within the school's prom dress guidelines so she could find just the right dress. Chloe was invested in making sure this was a fun and comfortable experience for Sofia. We look forward to returning next year to find the perfect senior prom gown (Chloe we hope to see you there)!
