Starlight Terrace Cinemas — Attraction in Rancho Palos Verdes

Would give zero stars if I could. Arrived for our Tuesday 645 showing of Dr Strange. We purchased tickets the Sunday before & chose our seats. G3 G4. 10 minutes into the movie we get a group of three telling us we are in their seats so we show them our tickets. They go to an employee who verifies our seats and switches the groups seats. 20 minutes into the movie a family of 5 shows up saying we are in their seats. At this point we're like okay, these employees sold multiple people the same seats. The family leaves and comes back with the "general manager" who wants us to switch seats and at this point we're annoyed at missing parts of the movie plus interrupted it for others. So we ask for a refund instead. We explain our tickets were pre bought for today. Turns out the box office printed them for Thursday when our email ticket clearly confirmed Tuesday. We explain that, that is their mistake not ours and he rudely says "You bought for Thursday so how is that our problem" Even though we clearly showed him the proof on our phone. After missing a good 30 minutes of the movie we decided to move to the 745 showing just in time only because we were really excited for this movie. But that general ma nager was a total idiot. Even after seeing his staff sold the same seats to 3 different parties and we provided proof of the correct date he proceeded to tell us it was not their problem and had an attitude the entire time. Will not be...

So here is my review about this place.

Decoration 9/10: Even if it's a small theater, it has this cache and very simple decorations that do the job.

Service 10/10: The service was very good from the ticket holder to the person that serves you. The chips nachos, or popcorn, and they are really not shy putting some extra cheese or butter. You get way more for the price that you pay.

Movie quality and seat 10/10: I want to see beetlejuice two, and let me tell you that for a small theater. It was very good. The spaces between each seat We're amazing. The quality of the movie is A +. I can't unfortunately show you pictures. Because we're not allowed to have cameras in the theater.

Ambiance 10/10: The ambiance was very good. There were a lot of families with their children. We didn't get interrupted by any phone. Everybody laughed and followed the movie.

Cleanest 10/10: Wow ,the staff that cleans was very professional. Every time a movie was finished, they would go and clean up very correctly and very nicely without leaving anything behind the bathrooms were very nicely done also.

I really recommend this theater. The only bad side is that there's not a lot of screens, but at the same time, maybe that's what it makes,...

Well maybe I should give it one star from my last visit seeing The Lion King, but it has nothing to do with the theater so that's why I kept the five stars. They have now switched to the assigned seating. So we bought the day off and got the very last row see. You could see the screen fine here everything fine. It was just people would open up the theater door every two minutes and that was a big distraction to watching a movie. Also, I had to get those child seat to prop me up so I could see over the people sitting in front of me because the very last row is not at an angle it is I level with the people in front of you. So it was a very uncomfortable time. But the staff there are so friendly and helpful and they even offered we could give you a ticket for a later showing if you want to come back another day cuz they were totally sold out today. So they always try to help. And it's a very low cost, $6 movie where else can you get that AMC doesn't one day a week this place doesn't three...
