Stayed at the hotel for a few days to take care of some business. Let me say this- it wasn’t horrible but wasn’t great either. ||Pros- The air conditioning worked GREAT! And the room was extremely clean, likely one of the cleanest and best smelling hotels I’ve stayed at. The bathroom is very big by hotel standards. And while the rest of the bathroom seems to have been updated, the shower hasn’t. However with that said the height of the shower head was higher then average and the pressure was great. It did have a small refrigerator. ||Cons- The beds were very firm, so if you have back problems watch out. One of the hardest mattresses that I’ve slept on, almost at a point of being to firm. And there virtually no space in the room. The fridge, dresser, and area to hang clothes up is in a small area in which the bed is practically in the way. There is a path of 8-10 inches between the bed and wall that you have to go through to get to that space. And there’s about the same amount of space in between the beds. ||Overall it was a decent stay. Would I stay...
Read moreThey took a booking online and then when I showed up, the staff was in their apartment connected to the office, grillin and chillin and they informed me they had overbooked the room and had leakage in the motel affecting 5 or so rooms. I've stayed here no less than 10 times over the last couple of years so this was quite the shock to me. They attempted to reconcile this horrible situation at 1030pm at night by attempting to send me to a motel 14 miles away in the hood of a different city completely. That place was disgusting and there was no way that was happening. Beyond that, I've overlooked the fact that, over the last 2 years, the rooms were inconsistently appointed, some reeking of cigarette smoke and body odor and some in a half way phase of renovation. I'll say this, on a positive note, the gentleman who usually assists me at the front desk is personable and friendly so I'll give him that. I will spend the extra $35 a night and stay at a close competitor's place...
Read moreI must say I had a wonderful experience with this Americas Best Value Inn. Geo was so kind when I checked in. He really went above and beyond. The reason for my stay was a convention. I was able to ship packages to the hotel directly and they held them until my arrival. They did not charge a fee to do this. Geo even took my package to the car for me.
The first thing I did was check the bed for bedbugs. I do this at every hotel I stay at no matter the star rating. I was happy to see the mattress had a mattress cover that covered the entire mattress. I still checked the mattress out and no bugs. The room was very clean. It was nothing fancy but had all I needed for my stay. I didn't have a chance to check out the restaurant but it was packed every evening I was at the hotel.
I would definitely...
