Lies & slander to save a Buck.
(EDIT Response to store owner: 4.65% card fee & Wrong, Mike. I never tried to take the cards off the cardboard. They came wrecked from your case. You left me no choice but to get firm with you when you demonstrated a complete lack of character. Your bad reviews all say the same thing. You're crooked. You owe me $5.45 and I will get it.)
Bottom line: Be aware of who you're dealing with before you shop here. Take singles out of wrappers (store re-sealed) before purchasing or don't buy. 2nd visit was such a bad experience with the owner that we argued and threatened each other. He knew this review was coming and no doubt has a rebuttal ready to paint me as w/e, but I don't care, this was my experience, take away what you will.
Long story: Bought some damaged product from display case, called to return, explained to whomever answered, he understood & said bring it back to see Mike the owner. So I do. I introduce myself, shake hands, & explain. Immediately: No not us, not our fault, I could never miss this, you couldn't, etc. I try and say that it's okay you missed it it happens just give me my money back. Nope, not one iota of effort to work with me or compromise. I want a good relationship, I try and start over amicably, he wouldn't hear a word of it, again refusing any & all responsibility for selling the cards that way. He started trying to punch holes in anything I said, talked over me, and grasped at anything- like PSA grades aren't what they state and even 10's have some damage..
Few things upset me like businesses not taking accountability and saying: too bad, not our problem, we acknowledge you didn't get what you paid for but we're going to keep your money, and do Zero to rectify anything. So when he took that stance, it struck a nerve and things became less than polite. Told him he's going to take it & give me a refund, or I leave a review, start the charge-back process, and if that fails take him to small claims- which I absolutely would've, legal doesn't cost me a dime.
He relented and said he'd take care of it, but instead of ending the interaction there, he refused to stop talking and made me stand there until he was done preaching & talking down to me. He was enjoying it. Like dude, I don't care; you sold me junk and can't own a mistake, just give me my money back and let's forget each other exist. Nope. That's when the accusations STarted: I did it, then did it on purpose to return & buy elsewhere, shouting YOU OBVIOUSLY NEED THE 50 BUCKS MORE THAN I DO at me, jabs like "don't know if you can see with the glare," (mocking me & referencing how I couldn't see the damage on the card through the plastic they resealed it in with glare. Pics. *confirmed re-sealed twice before I get accused of makin this up too, or, for the sky falling) I don't want customers like you, and all kinds of unnecessary carrying-on.
Now off the soapbox, he gets his wallet and throws 50 bucks cash at me. I ask about the tax and processing fees, he scoffs and doesn't expect me to know there's he has a 4.65% fee for paying with card. He adds that he'll sue me if I attempt a chargeback. Well I am doing a charge back for the taxes and fees you owe me. You can be sure of that. I'm not shady, but I will fight those who are, Tooth & Nail, Mike. Don't you dare accuse me of your mistake, on your product.
Icing on the cake; as I'm walking out the guys around him start shouting weird passive-aggressive remarks at me. Don't know what they were, or care, but I said enjoy the review and left.
So that's what you're dealing with at this establishment. If you have the time and tolerance, knock yourself out. If you DON'T WANT A HEADACHE,...
Read moreAll in One Collectibles has a great selection and many of the employees are very nice. I've also had multiple great conversations with other customers in the store which is a rare experience for me as someone with intense social anxiety. That being said, I had an incident there several months that will prevent me from going back. I bought an item for a small amount of money and I handed over a large bill. I was given incorrect change and did not notice until I had already left. I'm in college and pretty broke otherwise I would have just let it go, but I was expecting to spend $5, not $15, and I couldn't afford that difference so me and my friend returned to try and get my money back. While I understand losing money can be stressful for a small business owner, he was actively antagonistic towards us when we said we received the wrong change and would like the rest of our money back. (I say we because due to the aforementioned social anxiety my friend spoke on my behalf- we were obviously together while in the store previously) I understand taking it with a grain of salt since there was no proof that you made a mistake, but to be so blatantly rude in your disbelief is unacceptable. My friend left the store and went back in four times before they finally agreed to give me the ten dollars back only because they "didn't want this incident to keep us from coming back." While I appreciate you finally taking our word for it, unfortunately your piss poor attitude towards us already sealed the deal and we are currently on the hunt for a different LGS to frequent this summer. I'm not going to tell other patrons not to go here necessarily- as I said the selection is great and the other customers are some of the friendliest strangers I've ever met but be very conscientious when making your payments because the owner will not own up to a mistake and there's no way to...
Read moreI had gone to All In One Collectables today wanting to sell cards after opening up around 100-200 cards. I had many rare and ultra rare cards, but the only one he would buy was a Borrelsword Dragon. It was a secret rare card valued by TCGplayer.com at a market price of $22.43, and he bought it to me for 8 dollars. All of the other secret rares and ultra rare cards he had not had bought, and told me for every 1000 cards, I would get $4. That price is insane, because of pricing only the rares, ultra rares, and secret rares I had a deck worth around $150 at market price, so I thought he would buy them for at least 70 because it is half of market price and they were all near mint condition. Trading in 1000 cards for only 4 dollars is an insane price compared to the $150 at market price for only the rares and above. In addition to this, when I got the 8 dollars I had decided to buy 2 packs from him. These two packs he sold to me for 3.99 each, when normally they're 2-3 but it wasn't a big deal. It wasn't a big deal until I bought them and went into the car to go home, and I found that the cards were resealed. The edges had white residue on them, the package was extremely loose, the edges were misaligned, and one of the card edges were damaged slightly. If only one of these had happened, like the packaging edges being off, I would've just thought it was a coincidence, but all of these things happening at the same time makes it pretty obvious. I would like a refund, but I know they probably won't give me one because it says they won't due to price fluctuations and also I have already opened the packs. I would recommend going to another card shop, but if you're in the same position where the only other ones are around an hour away, you're stuck. Would...
