Ulta Beauty — Attraction in Rapid City

I love ulta it is spacious and not small and cramped like the other beauty makeup store. Most of the staff has always been helpful and my makeup lady of many years is at ulta ( herbergers was my makeup store and annie w Lancome has been my girl forever. I wish there were more samples of high end foundations to try and with the pandemic it has made it harder to try before you buy I'd also like to see more knowledge on different products especially the skin care end not so much on the high-end skin care but more in the drugstore type section I had to research the ordinary because there really wasn't a lot of info and being in the beauty industry it helps to be able to ask an employee what they know about it and I have learned valuable lessons however what works for the 20-something year old employee selling Mia Foundation doesn't necessarily work for the older woman such as myself in her fifties and so when my gal Annie is not there I do kind of struggle but I also like that Annie and then an employee a year ago Riley they also take me over to the drug store makeup and skincare side and point out things that I can get that will be easier on my budget that means a lot to me instead of walking out with one or two products I walk out with my money's worth I've also had my makeup professionally done within the last few years there and she did a gorgeous job I don't remember who she was but I was very happy and always happy when I...

I have gone into here so many times but if you use your points and something is buy one get one 40% off i have never got the discount they just used the points I had. When I dont use my points I'm still charged full price for my products. I went in to talk to the girl behind the counter and she said I was given the 40% off on my huge list of items but I used my points and asked if I would still get my 40% off. I looked over the receipt when I got home and noticed that the 40% off wasn't on there just 50 cents here a dollar off this and that for my points and when I went back in the next day the girl fought with me. I have seen plenty of receipts it would have stated 40% off on it not random change taken off several items that weren't even on sale! She refused to fix it the manager ignored the situation and walked away this is by far the worst ulta I've been to. So when you go in make sure you are actually getting your discounts that they offer in the store. Also I tried to leave review on the app about the peach slices and it refused to post my 1 star rating. That stuff was terrible it dried my skin out caused pimples the size of nickels and the "moisturizer" dried my skin so badly that it was flaking and itching buring and redness. The product was worse than a 4 dollar walmart facewash. I refuse to go into this ulta anymore and have been just ordering everything off-line...

I got my hair done Friday, May 4th - it was my BIRTHDAY - I spent 7 hours in the salon chair for me to get NOWHERE near what I asked for. My hair was bleached for 3 1/2 hours. It is completely damaged now and breaks off every time I comb it. It was my birthday weekend and I spent all weekend at home because my hair is absolutely horrible and I cannot do anything to it. Sarah - the salon manager - told me I could get a refund or have them fix my hair but they couldn't do both for me. I paid $22 on Thursday for the small amount of bleach that was put in my hair that day and couldn't get that refunded. I couldn't get my tip refunded either after learning that the stylist had been posting on FB that she was annoyed and needed a hydrocodone for her migraine - these were posted WHILE I WAS IN HER CHAIR. Kyle the GM could not even look me in my face or did not apologize. Sarah did not apologize after seeing my hair and after simply looking at it she walked away and that was the last I saw of her yesterday - just a quick look at my hair and she walked away.
