This is a community park that is bordered by a school located in a somewhat questionable (Redwood City could do so much more in this area but has always treated this area as their red-headed stepchild) neighborhood that always for many years struggled to rise above poverty. The surrounding community is proud and amazing in its diversity and it shows.
I lived in Redwood City for 23 years and I grew up there. I love it and it will always be close to my heart. I no longer live there but I do visit quite a bit.
This park has started to somewhat decline in appearance and that is sad because it had really become a very nice place to go. Many activities to enjoy and the facilities were very nice at one point in time. I hope Redwood City takes this decline and does something about it and doesn't keep it out-of-site-out-of-mind!

The park is very nice and clean and the bathrooms are decently clean as well. There is also a basketball court for anyone to play on too. Read moreThe turf is high quality but there are way too many lines for 7v7 soccer field size. Nothing like playing a tournament using cones to mark one full sideline and both goal boxes... And the midfield circle. That said, it's good quality turf. Parking is horrible, though, and there were several drunk, until homeless men hovering around the restrooms, which made it uncomfortable for both kids and parents. Three starts for nice turf.
