Here is an updated and more professional version of your review, incorporating current CDC guidelines:
I recently hosted my son's birthday party at La Petite. Unfortunately, the experience was quite disappointing. Upon our arrival, the staff appeared overwhelmed and fatigued, likely due to managing the previous party's exit, which resulted in a chaotic atmosphere. Most of the guests were not wearing masks, and there was a constant movement of individuals with shoes from the party room to the front area, which raised hygiene concerns.
It was evident that the staff were hesitant to enforce COVID-19 guidelines, and when they did attempt to, the guests largely ignored the directives. This lack of enforcement left me feeling unsafe for both myself and my guests. The facility seemed understaffed, especially considering the number of people present at the same time. Compliance with the updated CDC guidelines, such as wearing masks in indoor public spaces and maintaining proper hygiene, was not observed.
The children also reported that the play structures were dirty, and the tube slides had a musty odor. The manager on duty did not seem to have control over the situation and was notably rude to some of my guests, which was surprising given her more lenient treatment of the previous party that also failed to adhere to the rules.
While I was attending to the younger children, my husband and mother were responsible for preparing the party room. The staff informed them of a limit of 12 helium balloons and refused to assist with our balloons, even though we only had six. They appeared annoyed when asked to help with the balloons. Additionally, when it came time for the cake, the staff were unwilling to move the cake table forward, citing concerns about the table skirt falling off, which did not happen at any point during the party.
The staff's attitude and actions significantly impacted our overall experience. Given the lack of adherence to health guidelines and the unprofessional conduct of the staff, I cannot recommend this location, particularly for the last reservation...

Pros At $16 per child it's less expensive than Ninja Republic or others options. Other kids seemed to be loving it. Playground is in great condition and fun.
I could see it being fun for birthday parties.
Cons: The smell of cleaning product is intense. Honestly it's intense enough that if I hadn't promised my kids we'd go I'd turn around and leave right then. It can't be healthy. They close it every two hours to clean. You have to wait outside, in a line. You have to wait in line because it could sell out and they don't let you reserve online. It's always raining, because if it wasn't raining you'd be doing something else, so you're physically waiting huddled in the cold like in a bread line in the USSR. We waited 15 minutes like this. Once they open we waited another 15 minutes inside in line, packed body-to-body like at a rock concert. So total wait time for my kids was 30 minutes before even getting in to play. While you're sitting in like it's annoying, because the whole queue could is avoidable if they'd invest in proper ticketing. It's packed. Like really really packed. Too many people, kids screaming. They don't pick up when you call, to see if it's sold out or how it works.
In the end my two three year olds an eight year old had a bad experience.
I appreciate that they pack humans in to keep the prices down but I won't be back unless we're invited to a birthday party here. If it's raining, then it's horribly packed. If it's not raining, a park is just as fun...
Read moreWe recently spent an afternoon at La Petite Playhouse in Redwood City and couldn’t be happier! This beautiful 10,000 sq ft indoor playground is spotless, safe, and thoughtfully designed—there’s an under‑sea themed play structure, separate baby/toddler area, climbing wall, mini sports courts, and even interactive games—everything our kids adore.
Parents can kick back in the cozy lobby, enjoy free Wi‑Fi, and indulge in their café offerings without breaking the bank (). Their café serves up yummy pizza slices, fresh sandwiches, crisp salads, snacks—and even vegan ice cream! One reviewer noted, “They have some foods available to buy and vegan ice cream!” . Every item is priced incredibly low—snacks and quick bites cost far less than typical mall play venues. Under $5 gets you a hearty treat, and the coffee is solid too.
The staff is super friendly and constantly sanitizing—a true comfort with young kids around . We paid $18 per child for a multi‑hour session, and it was well worth it—our kids played endlessly while we relaxed with affordable café goodies. Highly recommend for families seeking clean, fun, and budget‑friendly...
