Second Judicial District Court — Attraction in Reno

First time listening to Probate Court. Available only by phone, only on Wednesday, assuming you have good hearing. The online case calendar has absolutely nothing to do with cases that may be heard. I was interested in a real estate case, which was listed as taking place today, but wasn’t on the docket and other cases were heard that weren’t in the Calendar. So there’s obviously some privy calendar containing all sorts of cases, but it is not public. Today’s 1pm judge spent over an hour talking about an 80 year old man, who wasn’t present, but is alive and is having revocable trust problems associated with a reverse mortgage I guess , which could cause his home to go into foreclosure in the next week. The immediate issue WASNT the foreclosure, it was about privacy. 80 year old man has enough money to hire a lawyer, but not enough to pay his property taxes. Judge was inordinately concerned about foreclosure, although representatives of the mortgage company, PHM, were not there, and lawyers seemed not too concerned. The Court reminds me of something out of Green Acres, where everyone but the cast knows...

So due to California having their issue and being on the top of the totem pole makes life pretty weary for a Nevadans due to the increase in the virus and everybody being pushed over to Nevada and some new 70% infection rate is coming Nevada’s way so beyond the past homeless issue that we’ve been dealing with for a decade we’re going to throw another homeless issue on top of that so I was thinking with all this all this land that the realtors own and are doing nothing with could possibly be given to homeless individuals or sold out a way lower price just because that land is not being used and I think the best thing we can do if we get another shut down is to give the people that have nothing a piece of land to be upon for their safety because if we’re going to govern nice a country and run out of funds to Support our people then what are we gonna...

I got a reckless driving my senior year of highschool. I plead no contest. Fines, drivers Ed classes were administered by judge, all paid for and taken by me.

I just got a letter in the mail saying the court intends to issue a warrant for my arrest because I did not comply with the rules of my sentencing. I am now a college student living in a different state.I can’t just walk into the courthouse. You would think a simple call should be able to resolve an issue like this but the courthouse has a different phone number then the one online. Once I finally found their phone number I could not get anyone to answer ( Monday at 12:30) After about an hours of trying.
