Chill space! You never know what you’ll see when you walk down the river in the middle of downtown Reno. The plaza has a eclectic group of visitors, and it is located right outside of City Hall. I recall that the building City Hall is in now in used to be, long ago, the old FIB building, First Interstate Bank Building. The city has a WebCam on the top of the building, FYI. You can visit their website and when the cam is up, you get a great view of downtown RENO. These guys in the video, are just having a good time. I hope you enjoy my contribution, and the social and cultural aspect that tells a story of those who should never be forgotten. Homelessness! It’s not an illness, it’s a commentary on society as...

I love relaxing there, socializing with random people, hearing their unique stories, sketching while I work through my grief. Unfortunately, the local security now harassed locals because we obstruct the false facade that the city tries to put on for tourists. They've ceased many services and lowered the amount of emergency beds and placement for the homeless while increasing the laws regarding their existence. The city security can't tell the difference between a local with a backpack just enjoying a warm day and a homeless person who has nowhere to stay because there are no beds at the shelter. It's a nice skate park, it's beautiful scenery, it's just difficult to enjoy...

I use to watch my community ice skate here. Now I see families, friends, significant other, and students conversing, eating, skate boarding, rollerblading, hanging out, family's with first time bike riding, most beautiful the homeless interacting with our community laughing, sharing, watching with smiles, like they belong not being herassed, told to leave! I go here almost every day just to feel the warmth in my heart. ... . "It keeps the faith of Hope in me and...

July 2022• Reno NV I was here 4 years ago last time and unfortunately the homeless situation downtown has gotten worse. I saw a lot more homeless than last time I was here but aside of it, this is a beautiful park with the Believe Sign and the Space Whale from Burning Man. You can view and walk by the river and if you are a skateboarder there are ramps to skateboard Close to the downtown and casino and near bu the Reno Arch to walk there.
